Overview

A Text Question in Mobaro is designed to capture open-ended, free-response answers from users filling out a checklist. This question type is required for a user to submit their response, and it supports conditional logic to show or hide the field based on other questions. However, you cannot create triggers based on a Text Question’s content.

Adding a Text Question

Open the Checklist Editor

Navigate to Checklists in the Mobaro menu, then select or create a checklist.

Select “Text Question”

Choose Text Question from the question type panel.

Configure the Question

Provide a Title for your question, plus any Explanatory Text if needed (e.g., instructions or clarifications for the user).

Note: Text Questions require users to enter a response before they can submit the checklist, ensuring that essential open-ended feedback is always captured.

Show/Hide Logic for Text Questions

You can apply logic to display or hide a Text Question based on other questions’ answers. For example, you might show a Text Question only if the user selects a particular option in a previous question.

  • Show/Hide Logic: Text Questions can be configured to appear or disappear based on conditions tied to other question types (e.g., if a user selects “Yes” on a preceding checkbox question).

  • No Trigger Support: While logic can reveal or hide Text Questions, you cannot set triggers that initiate alerts, notifications, or other automated actions from a Text Question’s input.
