Overview

The operations report is a daily report (PDF) that summarizes operational performance across your park and per location. It’s designed to give teams a quick “yesterday recap” without needing to hunt for information.

The report includes park-level totals (like operating hours and downtime) and location-level details (like uptime, guests carried, dispatches, and hourly performance).

Before you start

Activation required

This feature must be enabled for your account. To activate it, a super user or account owner must contact:

Note: If the feature is not enabled, you will not be able to create an operations reports notification rule.

What gets sent in the report

The operations report is delivered as a PDF and typically contains:

  • Park summary metrics (for example: total operating hours and total downtime)

  • An operational summary comparing locations over time (hourly performance)

  • Daily attraction/location reports with location summary fields such as uptime, guests carried, dispatches, opening operator/time, average queue time, and an hourly breakdown

When the report is sent

Reports are generated and sent early the next morning based on the schedule you configure.

Example: If you schedule the report for Monday, the report delivered early Monday morning reflects the prior operational day (yesterday).

Create an operations report notification

To send the operations report automatically, you’ll create a notification rule in the Mobaro Backend.

Open notification rules

In the Mobaro Backend, go to Notification rules, then select + to create a new rule.

Choose recipients

In Recipients, choose who should receive the report. You can select either or a combination of:

  • Individual users

  • User groups

Add targets (required)

In Targets, add at least one:

  • Location, or

  • Location group

Important: You must add at least one target, or the report will not send.

Configure scheduling

In Scheduling, choose:

  • Which day(s) of the week to send the report

  • The reporting period (for example: “Day”)

  • Which items should be included (based on your available options)

  • The time zone

Name the rule and create it

In Name, enter:

  • A clear rule name (recommended: include audience + target)

  • Optional subject/body (if available for your notification type)

Then select Create.

Tip: Use a naming convention that makes rules easy to audit later (for example: “Operations report — Daily — All locations — Leadership team”).

Add attendance data

If your team sends park attendance into Mobaro via the Attendance API, the operations report will automatically populate:

  • Attendance on the park overview

  • Any rides per capita metrics in the report

If no attendance data is provided for the reporting period, these fields will display “-”.

Note: This requires an API integration using the Attendance endpoint: https://app.mobaro.com/api/customers/documentation#tag/attendance

Read more on how to setup Attendance via the API here.

Troubleshooting

  • The report isn’t sending: Confirm the feature is activated for your account and that at least one location or location group is selected in Targets.

  • Recipients didn’t receive it: Verify the recipients are correct and that email delivery is allowed for those users.

  • Data looks incomplete: The report depends on operational logging and location activity. If a location has no operational data for the period, it may show limited values.
