Overview
Roles let you define permission profiles for different types of users in Mobaro. Rather than configuring individual settings each time, you can group users under a shared role and manage access centrally.
You can assign roles to both individual users and user groups. Each role defines which parts of Mobaro the user can view, create, edit, or delete.
Create a new role
Start by creating a role that defines the permissions needed for a specific group of users.
Go to the Roles section
From the Mobaro Backend, click Roles in the sidebar.
Create a role
Click the + Add Role button in the upper right.
Name and describe the role
Give the role a clear name like “Checklist Creator” or “Assignment Administrator.”
optional
Add a description to help clarify its purpose and permissions.
Assign users or groups
You can assign the role to:
Individual users (select from the user list)
User groups (for bulk permissions by department or team)
Select permissions
Permissions are organized into the individual modules found in Mobaro. For each section, check only the permissions this role should have—such as View, Create, Modify, or Delete.
Click Save to finish creating the role.
Best practices
Be specific: Instead of broad roles like "Administrator," break permissions into focused roles such as “Assignment Admin” or “Checklist Creator.”
Name roles by function: Use clear, action-based naming so roles are easy to understand and manage later.
Review roles regularly: Update or archive unused roles to keep access aligned with your current team structure.
