Heads up: Water Quality is in early access. Expect changes and new features as we continue to improve the module.

Overview

Water quality rulesets in Mobaro allow you to define the measurement parameters (e.g. chlorine, pH, alkalinity) that should be checked at each water attraction. Rulesets are then linked to specific location groups (like pools or spas) so staff record readings consistently.

Rulesets are the foundation of the water quality module — without them, you cannot add Water Quality Questions to checklists.

Create a new water quality ruleset

Go to configuration

  1. From the Mobaro backend, go to Configuration → Checklists.

  2. Locate the Checklist Water Quality Ruleset panel.

Add a new ruleset

  1. Click the + icon.

  2. Give your ruleset a clear name (e.g. “Water Park” or “Main Pools”).

  3. Click Save.

Tip: Use names that reflect the location or type of water body. This makes management easier later.

Add subrules

  1. Open your new ruleset.

  2. Add a Rule to define the scope (e.g. “Pools” or “Lazy River”).

  3. optional Limit the rule to a Location Group (useful if you have multiple pools or zones).

  4. Configure measurement parameters (e.g. Free Chlorine, pH, Alkalinity).

    • Set minimum and maximum values.

    • These will trigger validation warnings in checklists.

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for every different rule set needed.

Note: Each parameter is required to have a value, but you can determine within the Water Quality question configuration if a parameter is required to be checked or not.

Save your ruleset

When finished, click Save. Your ruleset is now ready to be used in checklists.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I assign the same ruleset to multiple pools?
A: Yes. Use subrules to separate limits by pool, spa, or water attraction.

Q: What happens if a value is out of range?
A: Staff will see a validation warning when submitting the checklist, helping you address issues immediately.

Q: Can I edit a ruleset after it’s in use?
A: Yes, but changes affect all future checks tied to that ruleset. Past results remain unchanged.
