By default, a Mobaro report shows everything captured during a Checklist. Report Templates let you trim that down — hiding the content you don't need so reports stay concise and focused on what matters. Once created, a template can be applied when viewing, exporting, in the mobile app, and in automated Result Report notifications.
Why this matters: A full report is great for an audit trail but overwhelming for a quick review or an external recipient. A well-built template turns the same Result into exactly the report each audience needs — an Action Report that surfaces only the problems, a customer-facing PDF with internal scores hidden, or a clean summary with full-score questions stripped out. Set the template up once and every report, export, and notification can reuse it.

Configuration settings
A Report Template is a name, a description, and a set of toggles that include or exclude specific content. The settings are grouped into four areas.
Assignments
Setting | Description |
Hide created assignments | Hide details for Assignments triggered while performing the Checklist. |
Hide assignment resolutions | Exclude solutions for resolved Assignments triggered in the Checklist. |
Hide assignment history | Exclude the history of Assignments. |
Score
Setting | Description | Exceptions |
Hide scoring questions where maximum score is achieved | Hide questions with a 100% score. | Unless a comment is added, an image is attached, or an Assignment was created. |
Hide non-scoring questions | Hide questions that don't yield a score (e.g. image questions). | Unless a comment is added, an image is attached, an Assignment was created, or the question type cannot give points. |
Hide questions where the score is below maximum | Hide questions scoring less than 100%. | Unless a comment is added, an image is attached, or an Assignment was created. |
Images
Setting | Description |
Hide image elements | Hide static image elements (excluding reference images, attached images, and image questions). |
Hide attached images | Hide images attached to the Checklist. |
Hide reference images | Hide reference images in the report. |
Hide image questions | Hide any image questions. |
Other

Hide text elements | Hide additional text elements in the report. |
Hide comments | Hide comments entered by the performing User. |
Hide unanswered answer options | Hide answer options that were not selected. |

Hide frontpage | Hide the front page of the report. |
Hide frontpage score | Hide the overall score on the front page. |
Hide email addresses | Hide email addresses from the report. |
Hide 'Answered by' per question | Hide who answered each question. |
Hide 'Answered at' per question | Hide the timestamp for when each question was answered. |
Hide manuals and videos per question | Hide any manuals and videos associated with each question. |
Hide orphaned assignments | Hide Assignments not linked to any Checklist Results. |
Hide compliance page | Hide the compliance page from the report. |
Applying exceptions
For certain "hide" settings, you can apply exceptions so a question still shows when it carries something important:
Unless a comment has been added — the question shows if a comment is attached.
Unless one or more images have been attached — the question shows if an image is attached.
Unless one or more Assignments were created — the question shows if it triggered an Assignment.
Unless the question type cannot give points — the question shows if it can't yield points.
Note: With exceptions set, a question that would otherwise be hidden still appears whenever the User attached a comment or image, or it triggered an Assignment. This keeps the meaningful detail visible while hiding the routine.

Frequently asked questions
Q: My new template isn't showing on the Results page — why?
A: Newly created templates can be cached. Hard refresh your browser (Ctrl + F5 on Windows, ⌘ Cmd + ⇧ Shift + R on Mac) and it should appear.
Q: If I hide a question, will it ever still appear?
A: Yes, if you set exceptions. A hidden question still shows when it has a comment, an attached image, or a triggered Assignment — so important detail isn't lost.
Q: Does a Report Template change the underlying Result?
A: No. Templates only control what's displayed or exported. The full Result data is always retained and you can switch back to the Detailed Report at any time.
Q: Can I use the same template everywhere?
A: Yes. A single Report Template can be applied on the backend, in exports, in the mobile app, and in Result Report notification rules.
Q: How do I build an "Action Report"?
A: Create a template that hides full-score questions and non-scoring questions (with exceptions for comments, images, and Assignments). What remains are the questions that need attention.
