Overview
Which Assignments you can see depends on where you're looking — the Backend or the mobile app — and on your access level. The mobile app focuses on what's yours to act on; the Backend gives broader oversight. This article shows what each access level sees in each place.
Why this matters: Staff sometimes worry an Assignment has "disappeared" when they just can't see it on their phone. Understanding that the mobile app shows the work assigned to or subscribed by you — while the Backend can show everything — explains the difference and avoids duplicate logging.
Super Users
Super Users see all Assignments on the Backend. On the mobile app, the view narrows to what's theirs:
Assignment | Backend | Mobile app |
Assigned to them | Yes | Yes |
Not assigned to them | Yes | No |
Subscribed to | Yes | Yes |
Not subscribed to | Yes | No |
Users with no extra access
A base-level User (no extra roles or permissions) sees only what's directly theirs, in both places:
Assignment | Backend | Mobile app |
Assigned to them | Yes | Yes |
Not assigned to them | No | No |
Subscribed to | Yes | Yes |
Not subscribed to | No | No |
Users with the Assignments: View role
A User with Assignments: View sees all Assignments for the Locations they have access to on the Backend, while the mobile app still shows only what's theirs:
Assignment | Backend | Mobile app |
Assigned to them | Yes | Yes |
Not assigned to them | Yes | No |
Subscribed to | Yes | Yes |
Not subscribed to | Yes | No |
Note: Adding the Locations: View and/or Location Groups: View roles extends Backend visibility to Locations or Location Groups the User doesn't directly manage.
