Overview
The Location Operational Status widget shows three numbers: how many Locations are Open, Closed and in Downtime right now. Click a number to see which Locations they are.
Use it on a dashboard or wall screen for a quick count of what's running. To add the widget to a dashboard, see How to set up Dashboard Templates.

💡 Why this matters: A count of open, closed and down Locations tells a manager in seconds whether the park is running as planned, and one click shows which rides need attention.
What the numbers count
Number | Counts |
Open | Locations with Operational Logging that are open now |
Closed | Locations with Operational Logging that are closed now, including those closed by a Downtime |
Downtime | Locations with an active Open or Blocking Downtime |
Starting a Downtime closes the Location, so a Location with Operational Logging that's down is counted under both Closed and Downtime. A Location without Operational Logging that has an active Downtime is counted only under Downtime. Open plus Closed is the number of Locations with Operational Logging in the widget's filter.
The widget only counts Locations you can see. Super Users and Users with Locations › View see all of them; other Users see the Locations they're a member of, directly or through a Location Group. Two people can therefore see different numbers. See How access works in Mobaro.
See which Locations
Click a number to open its list. Click a column header to sort.
Open Locations: each Location with Opened By and Opened At.
Closed Locations: each Location with Closed By and Closed At.
Locations with Downtime: one row per active Downtime, with Location, Description, State (Open or Blocking), Created By and Created.
Filter the widget
The widget has one filter, Locations: choose Locations or Location Groups. With nothing selected, it counts every Location you can see. You can also give the widget a custom title.
There's no time range, state filter or alert setting: the widget always shows the current state. It reloads with the dashboard every 10 minutes and whenever you change the filter. See How to use the Dashboard.
Best practices
Add one widget per area, each filtered to that area's Location Group, to compare areas side by side.
Pair it with the Location Overview widget or the Operational Overview widget for the detail behind the numbers.
Make sure operators open, close and start Downtimes as it happens; the counts are only as current as the operational log.
Frequently asked questions
How can I see what rides are down in real time?
Click the Downtime number to list every active Downtime with its Location and state. The widget reloads every 10 minutes; reload the page for the latest. On the Location Overview widget, a yellow or red status box marks a Location that's down.
Why isn't a location counted as open or closed?
Only Locations with Enable Operational Logging are counted as open or closed. If the Location can't be opened or closed, see Utilizing Operational Logging.
Can I get an alert when a location goes down?
Not from this widget; it has no alert settings. Your organization can send Downtime events to another system with webhooks, an early-access feature. See Using webhooks in Mobaro.
