Overview
Two actions keep a material's stock accurate and in the right place. Adjust corrects the quantity of one material in one Warehouse, for example after a stock count or a breakage. Transfer moves a quantity of one material from one Warehouse to another in a single recorded step.
Both work on one material at a time, and both are recorded in the material's Stock History. To record the first quantity of a material in a Warehouse, use Add stock instead — see Warehouses and stock levels.

🚀 Early access: Inventory is an early-access feature. Mobaro turns it on for your organization. Until then, Inventory shows greyed out in the Backend menu.
💡 Why this matters: Stock you can't trust is worse than no stock data. Making every change through Adjust or Transfer means the Stock History always explains the current quantity, which is what makes counts, audits and reorder decisions reliable.
Adjust, transfer or something else?

Where to start
You can start an adjustment or a transfer from two places. Both open the same dialog for one material.
Inventory page: select exactly one material and click Adjust or Transfer. The buttons only appear when one material is selected and it has already been added to at least one Warehouse (even with a quantity of 0). You choose the Warehouse in the dialog.
The material's Warehouses panel: select the material, click Edit, then select one Warehouse row and click Adjust or Transfer. That Warehouse is filled in for you.
Adjust stock
1. Open the Stock adjustment dialog
Select the material (or its Warehouse row) and click Adjust. The Stock adjustment dialog shows the material's SKU and Name.
2. Choose the Warehouse
In From Warehouse, choose the Warehouse you're correcting. Only Warehouses that hold the material are listed. Quantity fills in with the current quantity there.
3. Enter the new quantity
Replace Quantity with the quantity that should be there now, such as the number you counted. Enter the new total, not the difference: if the Warehouse shows 12 and you counted 9, enter 9. Mobaro records the difference, here 3 removed.
4. Add a reason and save
Optionally, explain the change in Reason, for example Monthly count or Damaged in storage. Click Save. Mobaro confirms Inventory material adjusted successfully.
⚠️ Heads-up: Mobaro refuses an adjustment if someone changed the same stock while you had the dialog open: The stock changed while you were editing: it is now X, not Y. Check the new figure and adjust again. It also refuses a Quantity equal to the current one, because nothing would change.
Transfer stock
1. Open the Transfer dialog
Select the material (or its Warehouse row) and click Transfer. The dialog is titled Transfer material(s) to another warehouse, but it moves the one material you selected.
2. Choose where the stock comes from
In From Warehouse, choose the Warehouse the stock leaves, and enter the Quantity to move. It must be more than zero.
3. Choose where it goes
In To Warehouse, choose any other Warehouse. It doesn't need to hold the material yet: Mobaro adds it to that Warehouse.
4. Add a reason and save
Optionally, add a Reason, then click Save. The quantity leaves the source and arrives at the destination in one step, and Mobaro confirms Inventory material transferred successfully.
⚠️ Heads-up: Mobaro doesn't check that the source Warehouse holds enough. Transferring more than it holds takes its quantity below zero. Check the quantity in the Warehouses panel before you transfer.
How changes are recorded
Every adjustment and transfer appears in the material's Stock History with the date, the user, the Warehouse, the Transaction Type (Adjustment or Transfer), the Reason and the quantity. A transfer shows as one row listing the Warehouse the stock came from. See Warehouses and stock levels.
Rules and limits
One material per adjustment or transfer. There's no multi-line or bulk adjustment.
Quantities can have up to 3 decimal places.
Stock can go below zero. Adjust it back once you've counted.
A transfer needs two different Warehouses.
A Reason can be up to 1,000 characters.
Adjust and Transfer are only in the Backend, not in the Mobile app or the Public API. Checklists don't change stock.
To remove a material from a Warehouse altogether, delete its stock row. That writes off what's left — see Setting up Inventory.
Best practices
Transfer when stock physically moves, not at the end of the day, so both Warehouses stay accurate for anyone checking in between.
Use a transfer, not two adjustments, when stock moves between Warehouses. It keeps the two sides of the move together in one record.
Check the Stock History before adjusting after a count. A transfer or a resolved Assignment often explains the gap.
Always fill in Reason, so the history explains every correction.
Frequently asked questions
Can I adjust or transfer several materials at once?
No. Adjust and Transfer work on one material at a time. Select a single material on the Inventory page, or a single Warehouse row on the material's page. The buttons don't appear while several materials are selected.
How do I add stock for a new delivery?
If the Warehouse already holds the material, use Adjust and enter the new total (current quantity plus the delivery). If it doesn't hold it yet, click Create (+) in the material's Warehouses panel to open Add stock. See Warehouses and stock levels.
Why don't I see the Adjust and Transfer buttons?
They only appear when exactly one material is selected and it has been added to at least one Warehouse. For a material not in any Warehouse yet, add stock first with Create (+) in its Warehouses panel.
Can I do a stock count with a checklist?
You can build a counting Checklist, but Checklists don't change stock. Record each counted quantity with Adjust. See Inventory in Mobaro: overview.
What's the difference between a transfer and a requisition?
A transfer moves stock between Warehouses. A requisition lists the materials an Assignment needs; when the Assignment is resolved, they're taken from the chosen Warehouses and recorded as Consumption. See Requisitions: requesting and fulfilling stock.
