Overview
Assignments in Mobaro progress through a series of statuses that reflect their current state in the task lifecycle. These statuses help teams track the progress of tasks, ensure accountability, and maintain operational efficiency.
The primary statuses for assignments are:
Open
Started
Finished
Each status serves a specific purpose and provides insight into the assignment's stage.
Note: These are for default assignments. Assignments created using custom Assignment Definitions may have different states. Please check with your local administrative team for details on your organization's specific status meanings.
Assignment Statuses Explained
Open
The assignment has been created but not yet started.
Use this status when a task has been logged but no work has begun. This is the default state for all new assignments.
Task has been acknowledged but no action taken yet
Still pending review or prioritization
No updates or activity logged yet
Started
Work is in progress, but the task is not yet complete.
This status indicates someone is actively working on the task or has at least acknowledged that the assignment is underway.
Assignment has been accepted or started by a user
May have internal comments, notes, or attachments logged
Useful for showing that an issue is being addressed without being resolved yet
Finished
The task has been completed and marked as resolved.
All work has been finalized, and the assignee has documented a solution (if required) and updated the status.
Checklist actions or repair work have been completed
Supporting comments and photos should be added for future reference
Assignment will remain in the system for reporting and auditing
