Before you start
Water Quality is early access. Contact Mobaro Support to request access. Obtain the test parameters, permitted limits, sampling method and opening decision from your qualified water-treatment team and applicable site procedure; this article does not prescribe them.
Walkthrough
1. Check the ruleset’s Location coverage
Have a Super User review the Water Quality ruleset and the order of its rules. The first matching rule applies. Confirm the pool’s Location Groups match the intended rule and that every parameter to be checked is enabled with approved Minimum and Maximum values.
2. Add the readings to the opening Checklist
Add a Water Quality Question, choose the intended Ruleset and tick the parameters staff must enter. Add the other opening checks your procedure requires and clear guidance for the sampling method.
3. Schedule the right pool and team
Create the opening Schedule for the intended pool Location and team. Check its time zone and work window. Set reviewers and Result visibility deliberately; the pool’s Opening Hours Calendar does not create this Checklist Schedule.
4. Require review of deviations
In the Schedule’s Compliance settings, enable Require validation on rule deviation when deviations need formal review. Decide separately whether the inspection is critical for operation and how approved Results affect readiness.
5. Test rule coverage and follow-up
Use a controlled test at a representative Location to check a within-range and an out-of-range reading. Verify the expected deviation and review behavior. Test each Location rule variant rather than assuming one test covers every pool.
Check the outcome
With no ruleset, no matching rule or a parameter missing from the rule, a reading can be recorded without being checked against limits. Confirm coverage before relying on it. A deviation is information for your operating procedure; Mobaro does not make the pool-opening decision for you. See Water Quality behavior.
Best practices
Keep approved limits in the ruleset rather than duplicating them in question wording.
Check units and fixed decimal precision for each parameter.

Frequently asked questions
Must every parameter have Minimum and Maximum values?
Only parameters enabled in a rule need both. The question must select the parameters staff will actually record.
Why did an out-of-range reading not show a deviation?
Check the linked ruleset, the first rule matching the Location and whether that parameter is enabled in it. A reading exactly on a boundary is within range.
Why can’t the assigned team see the inspection?
Check the Schedule, active slot, assignee group and each User’s Location access, then refresh the app. Rule setup does not grant inspection access.
