Circular Question Category Score Widget

Displays the average score for a specific Question Category as a circular gauge.

Written by Logan Bowlby

Overview

The Circular Question Category Score widget shows performance for a single Question Category as a color-coded gauge, with the score in the center and a red, yellow, or green band around it.

Why this matters: The gauge makes one category's standing readable at a glance, so a Dashboard viewer instantly sees whether it sits above or below the expected threshold.

Configuration and filters

Set the filters, then read the gauge:

  • Choose the relevant time period and Question Category using the dropdown filters.

  • Read the score shown as a percentage in the center, with the surrounding color indicating the performance band:

    • Red: below threshold.

    • Yellow: near threshold.

    • Green: above threshold.

Best practice: Use the gauge for high-level summaries and adjust the timeframe to monitor trends, then combine it with Reports to pinpoint where improvements are needed.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What do the gauge colors mean?
A: Red is below threshold, yellow is near threshold, and green is above threshold, relative to the expected score for that category.

Q: How is this different from the bar version?
A: It shows the same single-category score, but as a circular gauge rather than a horizontal bar, which works well for high-level Dashboard summaries.
