Overview

Disapproving a result in Mobaro allows you to mark it as invalid without deleting it from the system. This action ensures that the result is excluded from dashboards, reporting, and other data views, but it does not send the result back for completion. Disapproval should be used when a checklist result is no longer needed, such as when there’s a duplicate or incorrect entry.

Disapproving a Result

To disapprove a result, follow these steps:

Navigate to the Results Page

Go to the "Results" section from the Mobaro menu.

Select the Result to Disapprove

Click the checkbox next to the result you need to disapprove.

Click the "Disapprove" Icon

Once the result is selected, click the "Disapprove" button in the top toolbar.

When to Use Disapproval

Disapproving results should only be done when a checklist result is no longer needed, and you don’t want it to appear in reporting, dashboards, or galleries. Common scenarios include:

  • Duplicate Results: If the same checklist result was mistakenly submitted more than once, disapproving the duplicate ensures the correct entry is used without cluttering the data.

  • Incorrect Entries: If a result was entered incorrectly but doesn’t require resubmission (for example, a typo in a field), disapproving the result removes it from your view without requiring a full recompletion.

Note: Disapproving a result doesn’t delete it—it simply marks it as disqualified for reporting and dashboard purposes.

What Happens After Disapproval

Once a result is disapproved, the checklist data will no longer appear on dashboards or reporting features. However, the data is still stored in Mobaro, just marked as disapproved.

Tip: Disapproving results helps keep your data clean without the need for deletion or having to track down recompletion.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: Yes, a disapproved result can be marked approved anytime after disapproval.

Q: What if I disapprove a result by mistake?
A: If you accidentally disapprove a result, you’ll need to manually review it and determine whether it should be treated as valid (and approved) or deleted (if applicable, and invalidated).

Q: Will disapproving a result remove it from the system completely?
A: No, disapproving simply removes the result from dashboards. The result remains in the system but is marked as disapproved.
