Download the app
Open the Mobaro listing for your device:
Mobaro for iPhone and iPad on the App Store
Mobaro for Android on Google Play
Check the store listing for device and operating system requirements. On a computer, you can use the Backend in your browser at app.mobaro.com.
ℹ️ Note: If you use the Windows app, contact Mobaro Support or your CSM to confirm the current support and update arrangements for your devices.
Update from the app store
A store update installs a new version of the app. On managed devices, your organization may control when and how updates are installed.
1. Open the Mobaro store listing
Open the App Store or Google Play and find Mobaro, or use the download links above.
2. Install an available update
If the listing shows Update, tap it. If you cannot update a managed device, ask your IT team.
Install an in-app update
The app can download compatible in-app updates while you are online. When one is ready, a cloud-download icon appears in the header. Depending on the sign-in experience, the app may also prompt you to install a ready update.
1. Tap the update icon
On the home screen, tap the cloud-download icon in the header.
2. Install the update
In Update Available, tap Install Now. The app restarts after installation.
In-app updates do not replace every app store update. If your installed app is too old for an in-app update, update the app from the store.
If you see Required update available, tap Update App. Depending on availability, the app attempts an in-app update or opens the app store.
Check your app version
1. Open your profile
On the home screen, tap your profile photo.
2. Find your version numbers
Scroll down to App Version and Deploy Version. App Version identifies the installed app; Deploy Version identifies its in-app deployment. Some sign-in screens also show these values.
If the app won't update
Check your internet connection and try again. If the update is unavailable or fails, ask your IT team or contact Mobaro Support. Share the device model, operating system, app version and exact message.
🛑 Critical: Do not uninstall the app, clear its data or reset the device while unsent work may remain. These actions can remove work stored on the device. An empty current-user queue is not proof that all work on a shared device is safe. If you cannot confirm that work has uploaded, preserve the device and contact Mobaro Support. See Collect diagnostics without losing work.
The home screen’s connection tile shows connection and upload activity for the current user. A green Connection available tile alone does not verify all work on a shared device.
Managed devices
If your organization uses mobile device management (MDM), ask your IT team to deploy or approve app updates. If your devices cannot use an app store, contact Mobaro Support or your Mobaro representative to discuss deployment options.
Best practices
Enable automatic app updates when your organization permits them, or arrange managed deployment with your IT team.
Update and check devices before a busy shift or operating period.
Install a ready in-app update when you can allow the app to restart.
Frequently asked questions
Why do my devices show different app versions?
App releases and availability can differ by platform or managed deployment. Check each device’s store listing and ask your IT team or Mobaro Support if an update is unavailable.
Does an in-app update replace a store update?
Not always. A device may need an app store update before it can receive a compatible in-app update.
What if the app asks for an update but none appears?
Contact your IT team or Mobaro Support with the device model, operating system, app version and exact message. Preserve the device if unsent work may remain.
Can I update managed devices myself?
It depends on your organization’s device settings. Ask your IT team to arrange the update if the store or installation is managed.
