Overview
RideOps is a web app. You open it in the tablet's browser at rideops.mobaro.com; there's nothing to download from an app store. Adding it to the home screen installs it as a Progressive Web App (PWA): it gets a RideOps icon and opens full screen, like a native app.
Each tablet is connected to your rides with a RideOps Key. Operators then sign in with their PIN.

💡 Why this matters: Installed to the home screen, RideOps opens with one tap, runs full screen in landscape without browser bars, and keeps recording dispatches and queue times through short connection drops.
Before you start
Turn on RideOps for the Location and fill in its RideOps Settings. See Setting up RideOps.
Have a RideOps Key that covers the Location. See Creating and managing RideOps key.
Use a tablet: RideOps is built for landscape use on a 10" screen. See Choosing devices for Mobaro.
Install RideOps on a tablet
1. Open rideops.mobaro.com
Open the tablet's browser (Safari on iPad, Chrome on Android) and go to rideops.mobaro.com.
2. Add it to the home screen
On iPad, tap the Share icon and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android in Chrome, open the ⋮ menu and choose Install App or Add to Home Screen. Keep the name RideOps and confirm.
3. Open RideOps from the home screen
Tap the new RideOps icon and do the rest of the setup there.
4. Enter the RideOps Key
Type the key in Operation Key and tap Setup.
5. Choose the Location
If the key covers one Location, RideOps selects it. Otherwise, pick the ride in Select Location. RideOps opens Operator Selection, ready for the first Operator to sign in; see Operating a ride in RideOps.
If setup fails
Message | What it means |
Unauthorized | The key is wrong or has been deleted. Check it in Configuration › RideOps. |
No locations were found | None of the key's Locations has RideOps turned on and set up. |
Issues with operation key | Later on: the key was deleted or no longer covers this ride. Tap Change operation key. |
Updates and resets
RideOps checks for a new version every minute while it's open. When one is ready, it shows App Update Available; tap Ok and it reloads on the new version. There's nothing to install manually.
The tablet remembers its key and Location in the browser's storage. To move a tablet to another key, use Factory Reset; see Resetting the RideOps app.
⚠️ Heads-up: Clearing the browser's data for RideOps removes the key, and any dispatches, queue times or notes not yet sent. Have the key ready, and only do it when the tablet is online.
Working with a weak connection
If the tablet loses its connection, RideOps shows "The app is unable to establish a connection with the server" and keeps going. Dispatches, queue time updates and notes are held on the tablet and sent when the connection returns. Opening, closing or setting the ride down, signing in Attendants and submitting Checklists need a connection.
Best practices
Add RideOps to the home screen on every ride tablet, and pin it to the dock for one-tap access.
Use one RideOps Key per area of the park, so a tablet can switch between nearby rides.
Keep ride tablets charged and on reliable Wi-Fi or cellular, especially at opening and closing.
Frequently asked questions
What's the link for RideOps?
rideops.mobaro.com. Open it in the tablet's browser, add it to the home screen, then enter your RideOps Key. The Backend is at app.mobaro.com; RideOps is a separate web app.
Where do I find the operation key for RideOps?
In the Backend under Configuration › RideOps, in the RideOps Keys table. Super Users and Roles with Organization › Administrate can show it. See Creating and managing RideOps key.
Do operators need a Mobaro login to use RideOps?
No. The tablet is connected with a RideOps Key, and each Operator signs in by choosing their name and entering their 4-digit PIN. Attendants need neither; the Operator signs them in.
Can RideOps work offline?
Only partly. Dispatches, queue times and notes are held and sent when the connection returns. Opening, closing or setting the ride down, signing in Attendants and submitting Checklists need a connection.
Can I use RideOps on a computer?
Yes, it opens in any browser at rideops.mobaro.com. It's designed for landscape tablets at the ride, so use a tablet for day-to-day operation.
How do I update the RideOps app?
You don't need to. RideOps checks for a new version every minute and shows App Update Available; tap Ok to reload. Don't clear the browser's data to update, as that can remove the key.
