Overview
The Compliance page brings together the audit information for a Checklist Result: timestamps, revisions, scheduling, deviations, validation and contributors. Use it to review how the Result was completed and checked. A Report Template can hide this page.
The page is part of the report wherever it appears: in the Backend, in PDF downloads and exports, in Result Report email attachments and in the Mobile app's Reports. A Report Template can hide it.

Who can do this | Anyone who can view the Result. Creating a Report Template that hides it needs a Role with Report Templates permissions, or a Super User. |

General information
Field | What it shows |
Identifier | The Result's ID |
Started, Answered | When the User started and finished the Checklist on the device |
Received | When Mobaro received the Result. It's later than Answered if the device was offline. |
Invalidated | When the Result was invalidated. Only shown for invalidated Results. |
Checklist Revision | A code for the Checklist's version when Mobaro saved the Result |
Result Revision, Result Revision Timestamp | A code for the Result's current saved version, and when it last changed |
Location, Asset | The Location (with its external ID) and the Asset, if any |
Address | The Location's address when the Result was saved |
Time Zone | The Result's time zone. All times on the page use it. |
Scheduling
Schedule Type shows where the Result came from: Calendar Schedule, Continuous Schedule, Ad Hoc Slot, Reschedule or Certification Process. The other fields depend on the type:
Schedule Name — for Calendar and Continuous Schedules and Certification Processes. A Certification Process also shows the Certification Assignee.
Message — the Ad Hoc Slot's or Reschedule's message.
Available From, Due, Deadline — the slot's start, deadline and end, for Calendar Schedules, Ad Hoc Slots and Reschedules. Due only shows when the slot has a grace period; Deadline is then the end of the grace period.
Critical for Operation — Yes or No for the slot.
For a Reschedule of a missed Result, the original slot times appear in brackets after the new ones.
Deviations
This section only appears when the Result has at least one deviation. Each deviation is recorded when the Result is completed, and only if the Schedule had the matching compliance setting ticked at that time:
Deviation shown | Recorded when the Schedule has |
N question(s) answered too far from the location | Require correct GPS location |
Answered too late, with the expected time | Require timely answer |
Answered too fast, with the expected minimum and actual time | Require minimum answer duration |
Scored below maximum, with the actual score | Require maximum score |
Performing user missing required competencies, with the list | Required Competencies |
Readings that were too high or too low | Require validation on rule deviation |
For GPS, late, competency and rule deviations, the app asks the User for an optional explanation when they finish. Their comment, attachments, name and time appear at the bottom of the section. The GPS, late, competency and rule checks run in the Mobile app, so RideOps Results can only show the too-fast and below-maximum deviations. See Configure deviations to trigger result validations.
⚠️ Heads-up: Turning a compliance setting on doesn't check Results completed before. And Mark all results as requiring validation isn't a deviation: those Results need validation but show no Deviations section.
Validation
This section shows the Result's current approval or disapproval: who Approved the result or Disapproved the result, their comment, attachments and the time. Approving replaces an earlier disapproval, and the other way round, so only the latest decision shows. A Result with no approval or disapproval has no Validation section.
For Certification Process Results, it also shows Competency Awarded after approval, or Competency Revoked after disapproval. If the process doesn't require validation, the section shows the performing User with Completed the result and Competency Awarded. See How to validate Checklists.
Contributors
Contributors lists everyone who took part in the Result, with what they did:
Completed the checklist — the Result's performing User.
Answered N question(s) — Users who gave the current answers. Users whose answers were later changed are listed without a count.
Approved the checklist, Disapproved the checklist or Invalidated the checklist.
Answers changed in the Backend count towards the User who changed them — see Modify Checklist Results.
Revisions in an audit
Checklist Revision ties the Result to the Checklist version in effect when Mobaro saved it. Editing the Checklist later gives new Results a new code; earlier Results keep theirs, so you can show which version was in effect.
Result Revision changes whenever the saved Result changes — for example when answers are edited or the Result is approved, disapproved or invalidated. Viewing or exporting doesn't change it. Compare the code on two PDFs of the same Result to see whether anything changed in between.
Hide the Compliance page
To leave the page out — for example in reports for guests or contractors — create a Report Template with Hide compliance page ticked under Other, and choose that template when you view, export or email the Result. See Creating and using Report Templates.
Hiding only changes the report. Mobaro still records everything on the page, and the default Detailed Report always includes it.
Compliance elsewhere in Results
Next to the report in the Backend, the activity panel shows the Result's Approval or Disapproval, its Deviations and a history of changes such as edited answers or a changed Location. On the Results page, the Compliance column shows one tag per check — red if it failed, green if it passed, grey if the Schedule doesn't check it:
Tag | Check |
RV | Requires validation (red when it does) |
GPS | Answered at the correct location |
DUE | Answered on time |
MD | Minimum answer duration |
SBM | Score below maximum |
RC | Required competencies |
RD | Rule deviations (only with Water Quality functionality) |
CFO | Critical for Operation (highlighted when set) |
Best practices
Keep the Compliance page in reports used as compliance records; hide it only for external readers.
For regulatory inspections and safety audits, archive the PDF when the Result is final. Its Result Revision is your "as of" reference.
If a Result needs validation, read the Deviations section first — it tells the Reviewer what to look at.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a checklist require validation?
Open the Result and check the Deviations section of its Compliance page. If none are listed, the Schedule has Mark all results as requiring validation ticked, it's a Certification Process that requires validation, or it's a RideOps preopening Checklist at a Location with Require Approval for Preopening Checklist.
How do I run a deviation report?
For counts over a period, add the Deviation Overview widget to a dashboard. For single Results, use the Compliance column on the Results page and each Result's Compliance page.
Can I see who edited a checklist or a result, and when?
For a Result, yes: the activity panel beside the report lists changes, and the report shows earlier answers per question. For Checklists, there's no edit-history report; Checklist Revision shows which version each Result used.
Can the edit history in reports be hidden?
Yes. In a Report Template, tick Hide ‘Answered by’ per question and Hide ‘Answered at’ per question. See Creating and using Report Templates.
If I hide the Compliance page, do I lose the data?
No. Hiding only affects the report you view, export or email. Mobaro still records the data, and any report without that template still shows the page.
