Overview
An Exclusion pauses a Calendar Schedule or master Calendar for a period — a holiday, a park closure, the off-season or planned maintenance — so its Checklists don't appear and aren't recorded as missed. The slots themselves stay as they are, so the Schedule carries on as normal afterwards.
Add an Exclusion to a master Calendar to skip dates on every Schedule that inherits it, or to one Calendar Schedule to skip dates there only.

💡 Why this matters: Without Exclusions, closed days still publish Checklists that nobody completes, and they pile up as Missing Results — noise that hides the gaps that matter and can hold Locations red. Excluding known closures keeps your compliance picture honest.
How Exclusions work
An Exclusion skips every Pattern slot that overlaps its period, even partly. A slot from 04:00 to 16:00 is skipped by an Exclusion that starts at 13:00 that day. The overlap is checked against the slot's deadline, not its grace period.
Specific slots are skipped only if you tick Exclude Specific Slots.
Only slots that haven't started are skipped. A slot already under way carries on.
A skipped slot doesn't appear in the app, creates no Missing Results and doesn't affect Location readiness.
It applies to every target of the Schedule. On a Schedule, it also skips the slots it inherits from master Calendars.
Exclusions don't apply to Continuous Schedules or Ad Hoc Slots.
The Exclusions button (pause icon) appears in the calendar header once the Schedule or Calendar has been saved.
Setting | What it does | Default |
Reason | Required. Shown as the Exclusion's title | Empty |
Start and end | The period to skip. The end must be after the start | 09:00 today to 17:00 a week later |
Exclude Specific Slots | Also skips Specifics in the period | Off |
🛑 Critical: An Exclusion can't stop a slot that has already started, including a pre-opening check that is critical for operation. Add Exclusions before the closure begins. For a slot already under way, approve its Missing Result afterwards with a comment such as "Park closed" — see Approving or rescheduling missed Results.
Exclude dates on a master Calendar
Best for holidays and closures shared by every Schedule that inherits the Calendar.
1. Open the Calendar
Go to Schedules › Calendars, select the master Calendar and click Edit.
2. Add an Exclusion
Click Exclusions (the pause icon) in the Calendar's header, then click Add Exclusion (the plus button).
3. Set the Exclusion
Enter a Reason, set the start and end, and tick Exclude Specific Slots if Specifics should be skipped too. Click Save Changes.
The Exclusion skips the Calendar's slots on every Schedule that inherits it, for all of those Schedules' targets. See Creating a master Calendar.
Exclude dates on one Schedule
Best when one site or ride skips a day — weather, a private event, maintenance — while others stay open.
1. Open the Schedule's Exclusions
Go to Schedules, select the Calendar Schedule and click Edit, then Exclusions and Add Exclusion.
2. Set and save the Exclusion
Enter the Reason, start and end, and optionally tick Exclude Specific Slots. Click Save Changes. It skips this Schedule's own and inherited slots only; the master Calendar and other Schedules aren't affected.
Change or delete an Exclusion
Click Exclusions and click the Exclusion to expand it. The list only shows Exclusions that overlap the period the calendar view is showing; move the calendar to find others.
Edit it and click Save Changes. Mobaro re-checks only slots that haven't started yet.
To delete it, click the bin icon and confirm Delete Exclusion.
⚠️ Heads-up: Deleting an Exclusion brings back its skipped slots that haven't ended — including one whose start time has already passed, which opens straight away and becomes a Missing Result if it isn't done in time. To end an Exclusion early without reviving today's slot, edit its end time instead.
Skip a Location instead of dates
An Exclusion skips dates for all of a Schedule's targets. To stop a Schedule for one ride while the others carry on — for example a ride closed for the season — remove it from the Schedule's targets, or add it to Exclusions (Locations/Location Groups) under Where? if it's part of a Location Group. That change also applies to slots already in progress. See How to schedule a Checklist.
Best practices
Add Exclusions for known closures, such as public holidays and the off-season, well before they start.
Put park-wide closures on the master Calendar; put closures for a single site on that site's Schedule.
Tick Exclude Specific Slots when a closure should also skip one-off inspections.
Use a clear Reason, such as "Christmas closure 2026", so others know why nothing is due.
Frequently asked questions
We're closed today or tomorrow. How do I remove the checklists?
Add an Exclusion that covers the closure on the Schedule or its master Calendar, before the slots start. Checklists already under way can't be removed — approve their Missing Results afterwards with a comment such as "Park closed".
I excluded dates, but checklists still come up. Why?
Check that the slots hadn't already started when you added the Exclusion, that Exclude Specific Slots is ticked if they're Specifics, and that the Exclusion is on the right Schedule or master Calendar. Continuous Schedules can't be paused with an Exclusion.
How do I pause one ride's checklists while it's closed for a while?
If the Schedule covers only that ride, add an Exclusion for the closure. If it covers other rides too, remove the ride from the Schedule's targets, or exclude it under Where?, until it reopens.
Where can I see our exclusions?
Open the Schedule or master Calendar and click Exclusions. Each one shows its Reason and "Active from … to …". Only Exclusions in the period the calendar is showing are listed, so move the calendar to see others.
Some parks close on days others are open. Can one master calendar handle that?
Not with one Exclusion — it applies to every Schedule that inherits the Calendar. Put shared closures on the master Calendar and site-specific ones on each site's Schedule. See Creating a master Calendar.
