Find and read reports in the Mobile app

Use Completed and Resumable reports, narrow the list and choose the report or images you need from your phone.

Written by Logan Bowlby

Overview

The Reports area lets you find completed Checklist records and work saved as resumable, then open the report or available continuation action from your phone.

Use it when you need the context of a previous inspection while away from the Backend. Reports requires a connection.

💡 Why this matters: Finding the right record on the phone helps you review what was recorded before deciding what to do next.

Choose the right list

1. Open Reports

Tap REPORTS on the home screen while connected. If you have just completed work offline, let it upload before expecting it in the report archive.

2. Choose Completed or Resumable

Completed lists submitted records you can view. Resumable lists saved Results that may be continued. Locally saved progress and a completed Result are different things; saving on a device does not create a completed report.

3. Narrow the results

Open the Reports filter and choose the relevant period, Checklist, Location, Categories or people. An active Location Group filter can also narrow the list. Use a small, known date range and Location when you are finding a particular record.

4. Sort and load more

In Completed, use Score or Date to change the order. The resumable list includes Progress. Use Load more when additional records are available beyond the first page.

Open the information you need

Tap a record to open its available actions. Choose Detailed Report for the full report, or an available Report Template for a different presentation. The report opens in a viewer; use Close Report to return.

Choose View images when you want the record’s photographs. A Report Template may hide images or other sections, so choose the presentation that fits the information you need. See Report Templates.

For an eligible saved Result, Resume checklist continues its work. Its availability depends on the record and your access. Use saving and resuming Checklist work for the handover rules.

Keep reading and approval separate

Opening a report does not approve it. Reviewers use the validation workflow to record a decision. See validating Checklists and reviewing Certification Results.

A historical Result records submitted work; it is not permission to repeat the inspection or change its answers. Use the current scheduled Checklist for new work. Authorized corrections are made through the Backend’s Result editing workflow.

Use the Backend for exports

For bulk downloads, Excel analysis or an inspection evidence pack, use Backend Results. See exporting Results. The Mobile Reports area is primarily a way to locate and read records while working.

If a particular report will not open, note the record, selected report type and time of the attempt. Check your connection and try the Detailed Report before reporting the problem through Support.

Best practices

  • Confirm the record’s Location and date before interpreting its answers.

  • Use Detailed Report when a template omits information you need.

  • Finish uploads before using the archive to confirm recent work.

Frequently asked questions

What should I do if the Detailed Report will not open?

Check the connection and identify the exact Result. If it still fails, give Support the Result, report type and app version. Do not delete or redo completed work to fix a viewer error.

What happens when resumable work expires?

It is no longer available as normal resumable work. The outcome depends on how it was saved and scheduled. See completed, rejected and resumable Checklist records.

Where do I approve a Certification Result on mobile?

Use the reviewer validation workflow with the required access. Reading a report is separate from approving it. See Certification Result validation.
