Overview
Mobaro has no automatic merge for existing Checklists. To consolidate them, copy the best starting Checklist and rebuild the additional content as pages in the replacement.
Use this workflow when several forms are completed as one inspection. Keep separate Checklists when they need different deadlines, assignees or review routines.

💡 Why this matters: Planning the structure before combining forms keeps the replacement manageable and avoids losing the timing or follow-up rules behind the original work.
Choose the right structure
List the original forms, their pages and the Schedules that use them. Decide which questions belong together and which are duplicates. A page organizes a Checklist; it is not a separately scheduled inspection.
If the forms differ only because they name different equipment, consider one Checklist scheduled per Asset instead. If part of the work has its own deadline, keep it as a separate Checklist with appropriate scheduling.
Build an independent replacement
1. Copy the starting Checklist
Select the most complete starting Checklist and use Create Copy. Give the replacement a clear title. Follow the copy guide for permissions and mappings. The original stays unchanged, and the copy has no Results or Schedule of its own.
2. Add the other pages
Open the copy and use Add a new page and Add an element to rebuild content from the other forms. Copy page and Copy element only duplicate content within the current Checklist. They do not import a page from another Checklist.
3. Review behavior as well as wording
Confirm required answers, scoring and N/A options.
Rebuild logic using the questions in the replacement.
Check Assignment Triggers and Ad Hoc Slot Triggers, including the people and Checklists they target.
Check attachments, Library references and translations.
Review settings such as comments, photos and validation-related behavior.
See building a Checklist and Checklist settings for the feature details.
⚠️ Heads-up: Saving edits applies them immediately to that Checklist. There is no separate draft-and-publish stage in the Checklist editor. Keep the replacement off operational Schedules while you are still building it.
Try the complete inspection
Use a small test Schedule and appropriate test Location to complete the replacement as an intended User. Check question visibility, required answers and the resulting report. Confirm any triggers using a controlled setup, since they can create real Assignments or scheduled work.
A longer form may be harder to hand over across shifts. If that is part of the process, verify the intended save-and-resume workflow using completing Checklists across devices and Users.
Switch the scheduled work
Review every Schedule using the original forms. At the agreed changeover, replace the old entries under What? with the consolidated Checklist. Check timing, assignees, reviewers and Result visibility; they belong to the Schedule and are not merged from the old forms.
🛑 Critical: Removing or replacing a Checklist on a Calendar Schedule also changes slots that have not ended. Let active work finish or plan the change explicitly. Use Schedule stopping options before changing an inspection already under way.
Update Notification Rules or reporting filters that name the old Checklists. Keep the original forms for historical reporting: previous Results stay under those Checklist identities and do not become Results of the replacement.
Best practices
Keep separate forms where completion timing or responsibility differs.
Use meaningful page names so staff can navigate a longer inspection.
Record the changeover date and include old Checklist identities in historical reports.
Frequently asked questions
Can I merge Checklists so each becomes a page?
Not automatically. Copy one Checklist and rebuild the other pages in that copy. For what copying preserves, see duplicating a Checklist.
Can one page be due earlier than the rest?
Pages do not have separate Schedule deadlines. Keep the earlier work in its own Checklist and Schedule when it needs a separate completion window. See choosing a Schedule type.
Do I have to switch the current monthly work immediately?
No. Prepare the replacement separately and choose its first due period. Editing a live Schedule before the current slot ends can change current work, even if some inspections are already complete.
