Overview
A control-room screen can rotate between useful operational views, such as Today and Week to date. Build those views as Dashboard filters, then use full-screen, touch mode and Auto Play on the display.

💡 Why this matters: Consistent named views let the team recognize the scope of the numbers before acting on them.
Before you start
Choose a small set of widgets that answer the team’s routine questions. Use the display account and screen arrangement approved by your organization. Check who can physically see the information; full-screen mode is a display setting, not an access restriction.
Walkthrough
1. Share a purpose-built template
Create or edit a Dashboard Template and set Limited recipients to for the intended viewers. Choose suitable widgets and readable titles. Confirm the display User has access to the Locations behind those widgets; template sharing alone does not grant it.
2. Save the views to rotate
Create at least two Organization filters in the template, such as “Today — Operations” and “Week to date — Operations”. Set each widget’s scope and the time zone within each filter. Save the template and check the views in the Dashboard filter guide.
3. Open the display modes
As the intended display User, open the Dashboard and select Toggle Fullscreen Mode, then Toggle Touch Mode. Check that the filter tiles contain only useful display views, including any Personal filters belonging to this account.
4. Start Auto Play
Select the play control, enter Interval (in minutes) in Auto Play Settings and select Confirm. The minimum is 0.5 minutes. Let the screen complete one rotation and inspect every view.
Check the outcome
Auto Play rotates all available filters; it is not a separate playlist of selected views. Leaving touch mode or full-screen stops it. The normal ten-minute refresh pauses during Auto Play because each filter loads fresh data as the rotation reaches it. See Dashboard display and refresh behavior.
Best practices
Use clear filter names that identify the period and area.
Check a complete rotation after template changes.
Include the display session in the team’s opening routine.
Frequently asked questions
Will restricting template filters remove old Personal filters?
No. Existing Personal filters remain available, and a Personal default can still take precedence. Check the display User’s actual filter list.
Can a shared filter grant access to every Location?
No. Each User sees only the data their account may access. Verify the display account’s Location membership.
Can I speed up the normal Dashboard refresh?
The normal ten-minute interval is fixed. Auto Play loads fresh data when it changes filters. Exiting full-screen stops Auto Play.
