Overview
Re-enable an existing disabled account when a seasonal colleague returns. Their retained setup is a starting point, not confirmation that last season’s access and qualifications still suit their new role.

💡 Why this matters: Checking access and training before the first shift avoids discovering a missing inspection or expired qualification at the point of work.
Before you start
Confirm the person’s existing account and current role first. Avoid creating a duplicate account simply because their old one is disabled. If it was deleted, contact Support about recovery rather than assuming Enable can restore it.
Walkthrough
1. Find the existing account
Search the Users table by the person’s name or email. Disabled Users remain in the table with a pause icon. Check that you have the correct person and organization before changing access.
2. Review retained memberships
Where your administration rights permit, inspect the User’s direct and inherited Roles, User Groups and Locations. Remove access from the previous role and add the current team’s access through the intended group structure. Changes to a shared group affect its other members too.
3. Re-enable the User
Select the disabled User and choose Enable when they should regain access. Access returns immediately with the retained memberships. Re-enabling does not renew expired Certifications or restore a removed Super User status.
4. Check current qualifications
Open the User’s Certifications and check the Competencies required for their assigned work or RideOps position. Arrange the required training or assessment; do not extend an expiration date merely to make access appear ready.
5. Confirm the mobile session
Have the person sign in, check the name and organization in Profile, refresh and open their expected work. Verify the first shift’s inspection and any required reference material under their own account.
Check the outcome
If login fails, use sign-in checks. If scheduled work is missing, use the first-shift access review. An administrator should finish this check before the User reaches the work area.
Best practices
Reuse the correct named account.
Review inherited access, not just direct memberships.
Separate account access from permission to perform qualified work.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find disabled Users?
They stay in the Users table. Search by name or email and look for the pause icon and shaded row; there is no dedicated disabled-status filter.
Does Enable restore old memberships?
Disabling kept them in place. Enable restores access with those retained memberships, so review them against the returning person’s current role.
Will training reappear automatically?
Only eligible Certification Processes appear. The User must be assigned and satisfy the Process’s prerequisite and renewal rules. See Certification Center availability.
