Overview

Efficiently managing downtime is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency. Mobaro offers robust tools to log and analyze downtime events. This guide outlines the essential administrative steps to set up and utilize Mobaro's downtime features effectively.

Assign Downtime Management Permissions

To enable specific users or user groups to manage downtime, adjust their role settings:

Log in to the Mobaro backend and select the "Roles" tab.

Choose an existing role or create a new one for users who will manage downtime.

Within the role settings, check the "Manage Downtime" permission.

Note: This grants users the ability to:

  • Mark locations as operational or out of operation.

  • View and edit the operational log of a location.

  • Access the "Downtime" section to register, resolve, and edit downtime events.

Click "Save" to apply the updated permissions.

Enable Operational Logging for Locations

Activating operational logging allows for the tracking of downtime and uptime at specific locations:

In the Mobaro backend, go to the "Locations" tab.

Use the multi-select tool to choose the locations where you want to enable operational logging.

Click "Edit" and set "Operational logging of locations" to "Enable." Click "Update selected values" to apply the changes.

Note: With operational logging enabled, you can now mark locations as in or out of operation and register downtime events.

Create Downtime Categories

Categorizing downtime events helps in identifying and analyzing the causes of downtime:

In the Mobaro backend, select the "Configuration" tab.

Click on "Downtime" in the header.

Click "Create New Category" and enter a descriptive name for the category. Repeat this process to add multiple categories as needed.

Note: You can rename or delete existing categories from this section to keep your downtime classifications up to date.

Set Up Automatic Assignment Creation

Automating assignment creation ensures that downtime events are promptly addressed:

Within the "Configuration" tab, click on "Downtime."

Check the box labeled "Create assignment when a new downtime is started." Specify the user groups to be assigned these tasks under "Assignment Assignee." Select relevant assignment categories to classify these tasks appropriately.

Click "Save" to implement the automatic assignment creation settings.
