Early access — contact your CSM

🚀 Early access: Inventory must be enabled for your organization. Ask your CSM about access to these controls.

Open the report

1. Open Movements

Go to Inventory › Movements. Inventory and movement reporting must be enabled. The report starts on Consumption, with Last 3 months grouped by Month. The illustrations use a custom September period.

2. Choose the movement type

Select Consumption, Adjustments or Transfers. These are three views of recorded movements, not controls for making stock changes.

Filter the report

1. Choose the period and grouping

Use Period and Show movements by. For Custom period, enter both From and To.

Preset periods include today. Date boundaries use your organization’s time zone, and weeks use its configured week start. The report allows up to 60 time columns. For periods longer than 60 days, Day is unavailable and changes to Week if it was selected. Shorten a custom period or use wider grouping if the report exceeds the limit.

2. Narrow the Materials

Search by name or SKU. Click All categories to select a category. Category filtering includes Materials directly in that category, not its child categories. Selecting Uncategorized in this picker clears the category filter; it does not create an uncategorized-only report.

3. Select the Warehouses

Choose Warehouses to narrow the results. Consumption and Adjustments use the source Warehouse. Transfers match either the source or destination. Where Location restrictions apply, a transfer route is shown only if both ends are visible to you.

Read Consumption

Consumption shows quantities actually used on Assignments. Planned Materials do not count. Each row shows the Material, SKU, category, quantities by period, Total, Monthly average and Quantity on hand.

Monthly average normalizes the total over the selected number of days, using 30.4375 days per month, and rounds to two decimals. Quantity on hand is current stock in the selected Warehouses, not stock at the end of the historical period. Materials with no consumption in the period are not listed.

Read Adjustments

Adjustments groups each Material by Warehouse. Each period shows the net increase or decrease. Up and Down show total additions and removals as positive quantities; Count counts recorded adjustments. The chart shows Up and Down separately. Opening stock and imported stock can also appear as adjustments.

A period can have net zero while still containing changes. For example, adding five and removing five produces zero net movement but five Up and five Down. The Excel export also includes a Net total column.

Read Transfers

Transfers groups a Material by its From and To Warehouse route. Period columns show quantities moved. Moved totals those quantities; Count counts recorded transfers. A transfer is shown as a route, not as two consumption records.

Inspect the underlying history

1. Focus the chart

Click a row to focus the chart on that Material, Material/Warehouse combination, or route. Click it again, or clear the selected chip, to return to the full chart. If the report has only one row, the chart automatically stays focused on that row. Changing the selected row does not filter the Excel export.

2. Open the Material link

Click the Material’s name to open its details and Stock History. The report’s period is carried over. Warehouse, category and movement-type filters are not carried over, so history can contain additional movements. Opening Material details also needs Materials › View where permissions are enforced.

Stock History can be filtered by user, time range and Assignment. See Warehouses and stock levels.

Export to Excel

1. Check the displayed filters

Choose the movement type and filters, then wait for the results to finish loading. Review the period before exporting.

2. Export the report

Click Export to Excel. The workbook contains the current report’s filtered rows, including rows on other table pages. It does not export the full Material catalogue.

Exports contain one sheet for the selected movement type. Consumption includes Manufacturer; Adjustments includes SKU and Net; Transfers includes SKU. The export is limited to 50,000 rows. Narrow the filters if necessary. Export is unavailable when there are no results.

Best practices

  • Use the same period and filters when comparing reports.

  • Check Stock History before correcting a surprising quantity.

  • Treat the chart as quantities, not monetary cost; different Material units may not be comparable.

Frequently asked questions

Why can I see Inventory but not Movements?

Movement reporting is enabled separately. Ask your CSM to check availability and your Super User to check Stock › View. Inventory access alone does not guarantee report access.

Why does my colleague see different totals?

Location membership and Warehouse selections can change the report scope. Compare the movement type, dates, category, search and Warehouse filters, then ask your Super User to review access.

Why is a planned Assignment missing from Consumption?

Consumption counts recorded usage, not planned Materials. Confirm that the Assignment was resolved and its used quantities recorded. See Requisitions: requesting and fulfilling stock.

What should I do when the report is empty?

Choose a longer period or remove filters. Consumption only lists Materials used during that period. Check that you have access to the relevant Warehouses.
