Overview
The Profile widget greets the person viewing the dashboard with their profile picture, their name and Welcome back. It adds a personal touch to a dashboard and shows at a glance who is signed in.

What it shows
The signed-in User's Profile Image, as a circle. With no picture set, it shows a default placeholder.
The User's name, and Welcome back in their language.
Each viewer sees their own details, so the same dashboard looks different for every User. The widget shows no data from your organization.
Settings and filters
The Profile widget has no settings, filters or custom title. It takes a third of a row by default, and you can shrink it to a quarter.
Reading the widget
Nothing in the widget is clickable, and it doesn't refresh on the dashboard's 10-minute cycle. See How to use the Dashboard.
To change your picture in the Backend, click your name at the top right and choose Edit Profile, then upload an image under Profile Image and save. In the Mobaro app, open Profile and tap your picture to take a new photo. Reload the dashboard if the widget still shows the old picture.
ℹ️ Note: If a Super User has ticked Only allow administrator to make changes on your User, your profile is read-only and only a Super User can change your picture.
Best practices
Pair it with the Organization widget at the top of a shared screen.
Ask Users to add a clear profile picture: it also appears next to their activity, such as comments on Assignments.
Frequently asked questions
How do I change my profile picture?
In the Backend, click your name at the top right, choose Edit Profile and upload an image under Profile Image. In the Mobaro app, open Profile and tap your picture. If your profile is locked, ask a Super User.
Is it possible to stop users uploading profile pictures?
Not for the whole organization. A Super User can tick Only allow administrator to make changes on individual Users. Their profile, including the picture, then becomes read-only for them. See Create new users in your organization.
How do I change the name or language the widget shows?
Open Edit Profile and change Name or Language, then save. Welcome back and the rest of the Backend follow your language.
