Overview

Number and Slider questions allow you to collect structured numeric input with added flexibility and precision.

With the latest updates, you can now:

  • Select from multiple unit categories such as Volume, Weight, Length, Time, Temperature, and more

  • Define a minimum and maximum number of decimal places required for responses

  • Apply trigger actions (e.g., assignments or requirements) when answers fall outside the expected range

These tools help you ensure your teams are submitting standardized and measurable data across inspections, audits, and routine checks.

Configuring a Number or Slider Question

Click Add an element and select Number Question or Slider Question from the list.

Choose the input method:

  • Number: Users type in a numeric value

  • Slider: Users select a value using a slider bar

Tip: Use Slider for quick, visual inputs—ideal for tolerance ranges or guest satisfaction ratings.

optional Define the minimum and maximum values to restrict the input range.

optional Under Decimal scale, enter the minimum and maximum number of decimal places allowed. This defines how precise the input must be.

  • Define intervals with assigned point values.

  • The system will automatically score the input based on the first matching interval.

Note: If multiple intervals overlap, the system assigns points based on the first matching interval.

Q: Does decimal precision affect trigger logic?
A: Yes. Triggers evaluate the full numeric input regardless of how it’s displayed.

Q: Can I switch from Number to Slider after setup?
A: Yes. You can change the question type at any time in the settings. If switching to Slider, note that decimal precision will no longer be available.

Q: Can users enter numbers outside the defined range?
A: No. Inputs are restricted to the specified minimum and maximum values.
