Email Question Type

Capture a validated email address in a Checklist — the field enforces correct email format and supports logic, though not triggers.

Written by Logan Bowlby

Overview

An Email Question captures an email address and automatically validates that it follows the correct format (for example [email protected]). It's ideal for collecting contact details within a Checklist. It supports logic, but as a free-form field it doesn't support triggers.

Users must be Super Users or have the following Role to add or edit Checklist questions:

  • Checklists: Modify or Create

Why this matters: Email addresses captured as plain text are easy to mistype, and a wrong address is a dead end for any follow-up. The Email Question enforces a valid format at the point of entry, so the contact detail on the Result is one you can actually use.

Adding an Email Question

1. Open the Checklist editor and add the question

In the Mobaro Backend, go to Checklists, open the editor, click Add an element, and choose Email Question. Enter a Title and optional Explanatory Text.
