Overview
Checklist Results are the data your team captures by completing Checklists. In the Backend you find them under Results, where you can filter them, open a report, and correct, export or invalidate a Result. This article explains the four kinds of Result, the filters, and the actions you can take.
At a glance |
|
Who can do this | Super Users. Otherwise, members of the Result's Location who have a Role with Results › View, are the Schedule's Reviewers, or — depending on its Results visible to setting — are its Assignees or the Performing User |
Where | Results, and Missing Results, Resumable Results and Invalidated Results under it |
Works on | Backend (web); Mobile app (Reports) |
Availability | All organizations |
💡 Why this matters: The Results pages turn completed work into something you can act on. Filtering well is the difference between "I think the morning checks got done" and "here are the three Locations that missed them". Dashboards, exports and reports all draw on the same Results.
The four Result pages
Page | What it shows |
Results | Completed Checklists. |
Missing Results | Scheduled Checklists that weren't completed by the end of their slot. See Approving or rescheduling missed Results. |
Resumable Results | Checklists saved to the cloud before they were finished, which users can pick up and complete. |
Invalidated Results | Results taken out of reporting with Invalidate. Their answers are kept, and some can be made resumable again. See Invalidating Results. |
Filter Results
The Results page has these filters:
Time range — presets such as Today or Current month, or a custom range of up to 12 months.
Locations and Assets — pick a Location or Location Group before you can choose Assets.
Users, Checklists and Checklist Categories.
Schedules, Calendars and Certification Processes the Results came from.
Score — greater or less than a value from 0 to 100. Results without a score are left out.
State — Default, Approved, Disapproved or Awaiting Validation.
Schedule type — Calendar, Continuous, Ad Hoc, Certification Process or RideOps.
The other pages have fewer filters:
Missing Results: Time range, Locations, Assets, Checklists, Checklist Categories, Schedules and State (Missing, Approved, Rescheduled).
Resumable Results: Time range, Locations, Assets, Users, Checklists, Schedules and Include resumed results, which adds Results a user currently has open.
Invalidated Results: Time range, Locations, Assets, Users, Checklists, Schedules and Score.
Open a Result
Tick a Result and click View. The report shows everything the user saw while completing the Checklist — answers, comments, Assignments and so on. From the report you can:
Choose a Report Template in the drop-down at the top of the report, if your organization has set one up — see Creating and using Report Templates.
Click Show Map to see where each answer was given — see Viewing Checklist Results on a map.
Click Download PDF to save the report.
Users can also open Results in the mobile app under Reports, limited to what they have access to.
Manage Results
Change result location — move a Result that was completed for the wrong Location. Super Users only; not available for Certification Process Results.
Change result user — assign a Result to the right user if it was completed under the wrong login. Super Users only.
Edit answers — correct or remove individual answers on a submitted Result. See Modify Checklist Results.
Approve or Disapprove — see Disapproving Results.
Invalidate — take a Result out of reporting. See Invalidating Results.
Export result(s) — to PDF (up to 20 at a time, as a ZIP when you select more than one) or Excel. See Exporting Results. For larger volumes, use a Result Report notification rule.
⚠️ Heads-up: Change result user only changes the answers given by the user who submitted the Result. Answers given by other users stay as they were. To redo a Result with different users, invalidate it and have it completed again.
Timesheet entries: if your organization uses Timesheets, select one Result and click Timesheet entries to see the time logged against it — Date, Description, Type, User, Duration and approval state. Users with Timesheets › Administrate can approve entries there — see Approving and rejecting Timesheet entries.
Best practices
Set the Time range first — most "missing" Results are just outside the selected range.
Save time by filtering on Schedules or Checklist Categories instead of individual Checklists.
Use Results visible to on each Schedule to control who sees sensitive Results, rather than removing access to Results altogether.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I find a checklist completed last season or last year?
Go to Results and set Time range to a custom range covering that date. A range can span up to 12 months, so move the range to look further back. Then filter by Checklist or Location.
How do I stop some users from seeing certain results?
Set the Schedule's Results visible to to Reviewers Only, and don't give those users Results › View, which shows all Results at their Locations (Certification Process Results stay reviewer-only). Super Users, and Reviewers who are members of the Result's Location, always see them.
A checklist was completed at the wrong location. Can I change it?
Yes, if you are a Super User. Select the Result, click Change result location and choose the right Location. Certification Process Results can't be moved, and an Asset must belong to the new Location.
Why doesn't a checklist I just completed show up in Results?
Results appear after the app has uploaded them and Mobaro has processed them, which can take a little while. Check that the device is online with nothing waiting to upload, and that your Time range includes the completion time.
Can I change answers after a checklist has been submitted?
Yes. Open the Result and edit or remove individual answers — see Modify Checklist Results. The change is logged and the Result is re-scored.
Can I see checklists that are still in progress?
Yes. Checklists saved to the cloud before they were finished are listed under Results › Resumable Results. Turn on Include resumed results to also see ones a user currently has open.
