Overview
The Assignments widget shows a table of Assignments on a dashboard. Use its filters to focus the list — for example open high-priority Assignments at your Locations, or everything assigned to one team — and click a row to open the Assignment.
By default it lists open Assignments (Created or Started), newest first, 10 to a page. To add the widget to a dashboard, see How to set up Dashboard Templates.

💡 Why this matters: Follow-up work that sits in a list nobody looks at doesn't get done. An Assignments widget filtered to what one team owns puts that work in front of them every time they open the dashboard.
What the Assignments widget shows
Each row is one Assignment. The default columns are Title, Definition, Target and Created. Click Setup visible columns to choose from Id, Title, Definition, Priority, State, Status, Target, Created, Assignee, Deadline and Created By. Definition and State only show when a listed Assignment uses an Assignment Definition.
Click a column header such as Created, Status or Deadline to sort by it. A deadline before today is shown in red. Use the arrows above the table to page through the list, and click a row to open the Assignment.
ℹ️ Note: The widget is a list. It doesn't group Assignments or show completion percentages. For counts, use Assignments by Category, Assignments by Assignee or Assignments in period by location — see the Dashboard widget catalog.
Filter the Assignments widget
Use the buttons at the top of the widget. Filters combine, so an Assignment has to match all of them.
Status: Open (Created or Started — the default), Created, Started, Finished or All. Click Apply Filter.
Assignment Definitions: Default or the states of your Assignment Definitions. Only shown if your organization uses Assignment Definitions.
Assignee: Assigned To or Created By specific Users or User Groups, or Unassigned.
Locations: Locations or Location Groups.
Checklists: Assignments created from a Checklist, optionally from one Question.
Priority: high-priority Assignments only.
Assignment Category: one or more categories, or Uncategorized.
Deadline: Assignments with a deadline in a time range, such as Today, Before Today or This week. This is the only date filter; there is no filter on the created date.
How the Assignments widget updates
The widget reloads its list every 30 seconds, as well as on the dashboard's 10-minute refresh and whenever you change a filter. See How to use the Dashboard.

Best practices
Give each team a widget filtered to its own Locations or Assigned To User Group, so the list only shows work they own.
Turn on the Deadline and Assignee columns and sort by Deadline to see what's late first.
Use a custom widget title that says what the list shows, for example Open — high priority.
Save your filters and columns in a Personal filter so they're there next time.
Frequently asked questions
Can I show finished assignments on the dashboard?
Yes. Set the widget's Status filter to Finished, or All for every status, and click Apply Filter. Add the Status column to see each Assignment's status. Save it in a Personal filter to keep it.
How do I see which assignments are overdue?
There's no overdue status. Set the Deadline filter to Before Today, with Status Open, to list open Assignments past their deadline. Or add the Deadline column and sort by it: deadlines before today are shown in red.
Why does the widget show assignments from other locations, or for people I removed?
It lists every Assignment you have access to that matches its filters. Set the Locations filter to your Locations, and the Assignee filter to Assigned To your Users or User Groups.
Can I filter by the date an assignment was created, for example today?
No. The widget's only date filter is Deadline. Sort by the Created column instead — newest first is the default.
Can I show more than 10 assignments on one page?
No. The widget shows 10 Assignments per page; use the arrows above the table to see the rest, or narrow the filters.
