For a measurement that needs explanation outside its normal range, use a Number Question with Requirement Triggers. The reading stays in the Result, with a comment and photo when the chosen condition is met.

Before you start
Get the accepted operating range and response procedure from the responsible specialist. Mobaro does not supply those limits. Keep the allowed entry range wide enough to record real out-of-range values; an entry limit is not the same as a trigger threshold.
Walkthrough
1. Configure the measurement question
Add a Number Question with a clear Title, measurement unit and suitable decimal scale. Set Minimum and Maximum to the values the form must allow staff to enter. Explain how the measurement should be taken in Explanatory Text.
2. Add the lower-limit evidence rule
Under Triggers, add a Requirement Trigger. Set its condition to a value less than your approved lower threshold. Select Comment and Photo under the required additions. Use the threshold from your procedure, not the example value shown in the illustration.
3. Add the upper-limit evidence rule
Add a separate Requirement Trigger for values greater than the approved upper threshold. Require the same evidence or the evidence appropriate to that condition. Check whether equality should count as acceptable before choosing the operators.
4. Check capture and review settings
Review Action Menu Options, including whether attachments from the device gallery are allowed. Save and test readings below, at and above both boundaries. If the measurement also needs an Assignment or formal Result review, configure that separately.
Check the outcome
A Requirement Trigger collects evidence; it does not send an alert, create a task or mark the Result as requiring validation by itself. For follow-up work use an Assignment Trigger. For scored-Result review, configure scoring and the applicable Schedule validation settings deliberately. Water Quality uses its own ruleset workflow; see Water Quality Questions.

Frequently asked questions
Can a Number Question trigger below a value?
Yes. Add the appropriate trigger to the Number Question and choose its comparison and threshold. Slider Questions do not offer the same trigger support.
Will a required comment email the supervisor?
No. Evidence requirements and notifications are different. Configure follow-up work or reporting separately.
Why can’t I enter the unusual reading?
Check the Number Question’s Minimum, Maximum and decimal scale. If the form rejects the value at entry, a trigger cannot capture that rejected value.
