Overview
Use a bulk edit when a department needs the same evidence options across several Checklists. You choose which settings to change and leave the rest alone. This changes both Checklist defaults and the options on existing questions.

Before you start
Agree the intended camera, gallery, comment and Assignment options first. Check that the selected Checklists should all follow that policy. Read how Checklist defaults work before changing exceptions.
Walkthrough
1. Select the intended Checklists
Open Checklists, filter to the relevant set and select the rows. Click Edit to open Edit multiple checklists. This is different from the Bulk change action inside one Checklist, which changes Assignment Triggers.
2. Choose only the required changes
For each option, choose Enable, Disable or Do not change. For example, enable camera attachments and comments while leaving Assignments unchanged. Turning gallery attachments off prevents choosing existing photos through that option; it does not make a Photo Question compulsory.
3. Review the confirmation
Click Update. Read the affected Checklist count and the changes in the confirmation. The action also updates existing questions, including ones configured differently. Cancel if any exceptions need preserving; there is no bulk undo.
4. Confirm and inspect a question
Click Confirm, then open one affected Checklist and inspect a question under Action Menu Options. Check a previously exceptional question as well. Refresh a test device and try the controls before the next operational round.
Check the outcome
The selected options match your policy on the intended Checklists and questions. Existing submitted Results remain records of their original completion.
Best practices
Keep specialist Checklists with different evidence needs outside the selection.
Record the previous settings before a broad change.
Use a Photo Question or Requirement Trigger when evidence must be supplied, rather than merely allowed.
Frequently asked questions
Will changing a default update old questions?
This bulk edit does. Editing a default inside one Checklist instead asks whether to update existing questions. See Checklist settings.
Does enabling photos require staff to take one?
No. It makes the attachment option available. Use a Photo Question or a Requirement Trigger to require evidence.
Can I reverse the whole bulk edit?
No. There is no bulk undo. Correct the settings on the affected Checklists using your record of their previous values.
