What it shows

Every NPS widget reads one Smiley Question set to 11 Smileys (NPS). See Smiley Question Type. Each answer is sorted into a segment:

Segment

Answers

Detractors

Answered 0 to 6

Passives

Answered 7 or 8

Promoters

Answered 9 or 10

Net Promoter Score = (Promoters − Detractors) ÷ all responses × 100, from −100 to 100. It counts completed Results only, not deleted ones, whatever their approval state (Results awaiting validation count too). Each viewer sees only Results they can access, so two people can see different figures: see How access works in Mobaro.

The widget shows four rows: Year to date, Month to date, Week to date and Today. Each shows the score, rounded to a whole number, and the number of Responses. Each period runs from its start until now.

⚠️ Heads-up: The periods start at midnight UTC: 1 January, the 1st of the month, Monday of this week, and today. Outside UTC, Today and the other periods don't start at your local midnight, so late-evening or early-morning responses can fall in a different period than you expect.

⚠️ Heads-up: Allow N/A answer on the NPS question means N/A answers are counted as Passives. They add to the responses and pull the score towards 0. Leave N/A off NPS questions for a standard score.

NPS - Historic score

Reading the widget

  • A row with (0 Responses) shows a score of 0. That means no answers yet in that period, not a neutral score.

  • The rows can't be clicked. To see how the score moved day by day, add NPS Score Development; for the share of each segment, add NPS Segments.

  • No Checklist Selected means the question filter is empty.

  • The widget refreshes with the dashboard, every 10 minutes. See How to use the Dashboard.

Best practices

  • Check the response count before reacting to a score: a handful of responses can swing it widely.

  • Use one NPS question per guest survey Checklist, and filter by Location to compare parks or areas.

Frequently asked questions

Where is the NPS dashboard?

There is no built-in NPS dashboard. Add the NPS widgets to a Dashboard Template instead. See How to set up Dashboard Templates.

Why can't I pick my smiley question?

Only Smiley Questions with the smiley type 11 Smileys (NPS) are listed. A 2- to 5-smiley question can't feed an NPS widget; use Answer Distribution to chart it instead.

Can I choose a different time period?

No. This widget always shows year, month and week to date and today. For a period you choose, use NPS Segments or NPS Score Development.

Why does the score show 0?

There are no responses in that period, or the promoters and detractors cancel out. Check the Responses count next to the score.
