What it shows

Every NPS widget reads one Smiley Question set to 11 Smileys (NPS). See Smiley Question Type. Each answer is sorted into a segment:

Segment

Answers

Detractors

Answered 0 to 6

Passives

Answered 7 or 8

Promoters

Answered 9 or 10

Net Promoter Score = (Promoters − Detractors) ÷ all responses × 100, from −100 to 100. It counts completed Results only, not deleted ones, whatever their approval state (Results awaiting validation count too). Each viewer sees only Results they can access, so two people can see different figures: see How access works in Mobaro.

The chart has one point per day, labelled with that day's score rounded to a whole number. Days are calendar days in UTC. A day with no responses has no point, and the line joins the days either side.

⚠️ Heads-up: Allow N/A answer on the NPS question means N/A answers are counted as Passives. They add to the responses and pull the score towards 0. Leave N/A off NPS questions for a standard score.

NPS - Development

Points are always daily, and the chart is always a line. You can't choose weekly or monthly points or add notes to the chart.

Reading the widget

  • Read each day's score from the label on its point. The chart has no hover tooltips and can't be clicked.

  • Each day's score uses only that day's responses, so a day with few responses can jump sharply.

  • No Checklist Selected means the question filter is empty. With no responses in the period, the chart shows the dates but no points.

  • The widget refreshes with the dashboard, every 10 minutes. See How to use the Dashboard.

Best practices

  • Keep the range short, such as Current month or Last 30 Days; a year gives hundreds of daily points. For longer trends, use NPS Historic Score.

  • Note the date of a change you make, such as a new queue process, and compare the days before and after it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I show the score by week or month instead of by day?

No. The widget always plots one point per day. For month-to-date and week-to-date scores, use NPS Historic Score.

Can I add annotations to mark events on the chart?

No. The chart has no notes or annotations. Give the widget a title or keep a record of changes elsewhere.

Why does the line skip some days?

Those days had no responses in the filters. The line joins the days either side, so check the dates on the points.

Why do the daily scores jump so much?

Each point uses only that day's responses. With few responses, one guest can move the score a lot. Use a wider view in NPS Historic Score to smooth it out.
