Compliance Meter widget

How the Compliance Meter splits scheduled Checklists into handled, awaiting approval, missing, overdue and available segments, and its filters.

Written by Logan Bowlby

Overview

The Compliance Meter widget shows the scheduled Checklists in a time range as one bar split by state: handled, awaiting approval, missing, overdue, available now and available later. A marker above it shows the handled percentage. It answers "what is the rest of the work waiting on?"

It uses the same calculation as the Readiness widget. To add it, see How to set up Dashboard Templates.

💡 Why this matters: One number can hide why work isn't done. Splitting it by state shows whether you're waiting on approvals, on staff, or on Checklists that have already been missed.

What it shows

The bar is 100% of the scheduled Checklists in the time range — one per Calendar slot or Ad Hoc Slot and Location (or Asset). Checklists completed outside a slot aren't counted, and Continuous Schedules have no slots.

Segment

Meaning

Dark green

Handled: completed and not awaiting approval, or missed and approved or rescheduled

Yellow

Awaiting approval, including disapproved Results

Red

Missing: the slot ended with no Result, not yet approved or rescheduled

Orange

Overdue: past its deadline but still in its grace period

Gray

Available now

Light gray

Available later in the time range

The marker shows the dark-green share as a percentage. The two Configuration settings move items between segments: turning off Mark approved items as handled moves approved items back to yellow and red; turning on Mark results awaiting approval as handled moves yellow into dark green.

Super Users see every scheduled Checklist. Other Users see Checklists at Locations they're a member of and — without Schedules › View — only from Schedules where they're an assignee, reviewer or owner. Two people can see different numbers on the same dashboard. See How access works in Mobaro.

Reading the widget

  • Hover over a segment to see its count, for example "3 missing".

  • Click the widget to open Readiness Details, with each Location and Location Group down to the individual Checklists on the tabs Completed Checklists, Missing Checklists, Available Checklists and Available Later. See Readiness widget overview.

  • With nothing scheduled in the time range, the bar is empty and the marker shows 0%.

  • The widget reloads when you change a filter, when you approve or disapprove from the dashboard, and with the dashboard every 10 minutes. Filter changes are kept only if you save them in a Personal filter — see How to use the Dashboard.

ℹ️ Note: Orange only appears for slots with a grace period. See Overdue Checklists widget. To deal with red, see How to handle missing Results.

Best practices

  • Watch yellow: a large awaiting-approval segment means reviewers are the bottleneck, not the teams doing the work.

  • Use one Compliance Meter per area or Checklist Category, with a clear title.

  • For past periods, choose Ends so only slots that finished in the range count.

Frequently asked questions

The compliance meter doesn't match the completed checklists. Why?

They count different things. The Compliance Meter counts scheduled slots by when the slot runs; Completed Checklists counts every completed Result by when it was answered, scheduled or not. A Result completed after its slot ended leaves the slot missing.

Some daily checklists are missing from the compliance meter. Why?

Only scheduled slots in the time range count, as set by Overlaps, Starts, Ends or Starts and ends. Checklists done without a slot, or at Locations and Schedules you can't see, aren't included. Check the filters too.

Can I leave one checklist out of the statistics?

There's no exclude option. Select the Checklists, Checklist Categories or Schedules you want to include; everything not selected is left out. With nothing selected, all are included.

Why is a disapproved result shown as awaiting approval?

Mobaro treats a disapproved Result as not yet approved, so it stays in the yellow segment. Turning on Mark results awaiting approval as handled counts it as handled.
