Unsupported question when completing a checklist

Why the 'Unsupported Question' message appears when completing a Checklist — your app is missing a newer Question Type — and how to resolve it by updating the Mobaro app.

Written by Logan Bowlby

Overview

The Unsupported Question message appears when a Checklist contains a Question Type your app version doesn't recognize yet. It means your Mobaro app is out of date — updating it restores the question to its intended format.

Why this matters: New Question Types ship regularly. An out-of-date app can't render the newest ones, so a check could be completed in the wrong format — the message is there to flag that before it affects your Result.

Why it appears

When a Checklist includes a Question Type your app doesn't support, Mobaro replaces that question's answer with a single-select question asking you to confirm you understand the Checklist can't be completed as intended.

Note: Only the answer is replaced. The question title, explanatory text, manuals, and reference images remain, and you can still add images and comments if they're enabled.

What to do

  • Recommended — exit the Checklist (your progress is saved), update the app, then continue. This restores support for the new Question Type.

  • Alternative — if you can't update right now (for example, working offline), tick I understand and continue. The Checklist won't be completed as intended, so update as soon as you can.

Note: The Result will record that an unsupported question was encountered.

Updating your Mobaro app

The app updates two ways, which work in tandem:

  • App stores — Google Play, the App Store, and the Microsoft Store.

  • Over-the-air (OTA) — installed automatically when you log in to the app.

To be sure you're on the latest version, install any pending update from your app store, then log in while online so any OTA update applies before you start.
