Resetting the RideOps app

Factory-reset a RideOps tablet to its initial setup state when switching Locations or RideOps keys — and what to have ready before you do.

Written by Logan Bowlby

Overview

Reset a RideOps tablet back to its initial setup state when you're switching it to a different Location or RideOps key.

Critical: A reset requires entering a new RideOps key afterward. Only reset once you have the new key ready, so the tablet isn't left unusable.

Resetting a RideOps tablet

  1. Tap the RideOps icon in the upper-right corner.

  2. Click Factory Reset.

  3. Confirm with OK.

After the reset, enter the new RideOps key and configure the tablet for the Location you want.

Good to know

  • An Operator must be logged in to reset the key this way. If you can't log in an Operator, clear the browser's cache and cookies for RideOps instead.

  • Switching Locations often? Rather than resetting each time, use a RideOps key that lets Operators switch Locations natively in the app. See Creating and managing RideOps keys.
