A handover note is critical information an administrator needs you to see before you operate the ride — an out-of-service seat, a safety constraint, a special operating instruction. When one is active, the ride is held Not ready for operation until you acknowledge it, because acknowledging is how the system confirms you personally saw the information. The ride won't dispatch until you do, so handling it is the first thing to do at sign-in. This article shows what you'll see in RideOps and how to clear it.
Early access: Handover notes are an early-access feature that Mobaro must enable for your organization. If you don't see them in RideOps, reach out to your Mobaro contact or [email protected] to have it switched on.
Acknowledging a handover note
When you sign in, the Operation Dashboard shows Not ready for operation. Any handover notes are listed under Handover notes requiring acknowledgement, alongside any other required checks.
Tap VIEW next to the note and read the full description and type. The dialog confirms the note requires acknowledgement before the ride can continue operating.
Tap Acknowledge to record that you've read the note. Once all handover notes and any other required checks are cleared, the ride shows Ready for operation and you can open it.
Heads-up: You cannot dispatch or update queue time until the note is acknowledged. If you can't operate the ride and see a handover note listed, acknowledging it is the step you're missing.
Frequently asked questions
A colleague already acknowledged this note. Why do I have to do it again?
Acknowledgement is per operator. The system needs confirmation that you — the person now on shift — have seen the information, so each operator who signs in must acknowledge it.
I acknowledged the note but the ride still won't open.
A handover note is one of several things that can hold a ride Not ready for operation. Check for other required items, such as a pre-opening maintenance check or a high-priority Assignment, and complete those as well.
Where else can I see handover notes?
Open the Notes area in RideOps for the selected Location. An unacknowledged handover note shows as Pending acknowledgement.
I don't understand the instruction in the note. Should I still acknowledge it?
Acknowledging records that you've read it. If the instruction is unclear or you have a safety concern, follow your site's escalation procedure and confirm with your supervisor before operating — acknowledging the note does not override your judgment about safe operation.
