Overview
This guide is for the people who complete Checklists in the field. It covers finding your Checklists in the Mobaro mobile app, answering questions, adding photos and comments, saving your progress to finish later, working offline, and submitting your work.

💡 Why this matters: The Checklist is where field work gets recorded. Knowing how to attach evidence, save progress and submit on time means inspections are captured accurately the first time, even without a signal.
Find your Checklists
Open the Mobaro app and sign in. From the home screen:
Tap the Checklists tile to see the Checklists available to you now, for the Locations you can access.
Tap the Calendar tile to see upcoming scheduled Checklists.
To group the list by Checklist Folder, use Group By › Folder in the list filter.
What you see depends on the Schedules and Ad Hoc Slots you're an Assignee on and the Locations you can access. Calendar Checklists appear during their slot; Continuous Checklists are always available. If you're only a reviewer of a Schedule, you can see its Checklists but can't complete them: the app shows "This checklist is not assigned to you at this location."
Start a Checklist
1. Select the Checklist and Location
Choose the Checklist and the Location (or Asset) you're completing it for.
2. Let it download if prompted
Some Checklists must download their files, such as reference images and documents, before you can start. Let the download finish; the content is then also available offline.
3. Work through the pages
Answer each question, moving through the pages in order. Some questions may appear or disappear as you answer, based on logic set up by your administrator — hidden questions don't need an answer.
Answer questions
Depending on how the Checklist was built, you may:
Select one or several options, pick a date, set a temperature, enter a number or type a text answer.
Add a photo with your camera, or from your gallery if allowed.
Add a comment for extra context where comments are enabled.
Open reference material — a manual, link or video — attached to a question.
Some answers may require a comment or photo before you can continue, or create a follow-up Assignment. These are set up with triggers.
Save and finish later
If you can't finish in one go, leave the Checklist. The Leave Checklist dialog asks whether to store your progress, which you can give a Name (optional):
Save to this Device — keeps your progress on this phone or tablet only. Only you can continue it, on this device.
Save in the Cloud — turn on Save progress in the cloud first. Your progress is uploaded so you can continue on another device. Turn on Allow others to resume to let other Assignees continue it.
Delete — discards your progress.
Saving to the cloud needs a connection and waits until your photos and files are uploaded ("Saving Progress to Cloud"). Your organization may turn off saving to the device, so the cloud is always used, or turn off Allow others to resume. Cloud saving isn't available when you're validating a Result or completing a certification. See Completing Checklists across multiple devices and users.
🛑 Critical: Saved progress isn't submitted. A Calendar or Ad Hoc Checklist that isn't submitted before its slot — plus any grace period — ends becomes a Missing Result, and on a critical Checklist the ride can show as not ready. Watch for reminder notifications.
Submit the Checklist
When you've answered everything required, submit the Checklist. It is uploaded to the Mobaro Backend and becomes a Result that reviewers can view and act on. If the Schedule requires validation, a reviewer then approves or disapproves it.
Work offline
You can complete a Checklist without a connection once its content is on your device. To make sure it is, open the Checklist's menu and tap Make checklist available offline; the menu then shows The checklist is available offline. Checklists set to Require downloading the entire checklist for offline use are made available offline automatically when you open them.
If you open a Checklist offline before its files are downloaded, the app shows "You seem to be offline, but this checklist is not available offline." Your answers are stored on the device and upload when you're back online; the home screen shows how many items are still uploading. External links and videos always need a connection. See Working online versus offline with Mobaro.
View your Results
Find completed Checklists in the Reports tile. You see Results based on your permissions for the Checklists and Locations involved. See Viewing Checklist Results.
Best practices
Before heading into an area with weak signal, open the Checklists you'll need and tap Make checklist available offline.
Use Save in the Cloud when someone else — or another device — may need to finish the Checklist.
Submit as soon as you're done; saved progress doesn't count towards the deadline.
Frequently asked questions
A checklist I expected isn't showing up. Why?
You may not be an Assignee on its Schedule or Ad Hoc Slot, you may not have access to its Location, or its slot hasn't started or has already ended. If it should be there, check with your administrator.
How do I find checklists I've already completed?
Open the Reports tile in the mobile app. You see Results for the Checklists and Locations your permissions allow. See Viewing Checklist Results.
Can I save a long checklist and finish it later?
Yes. Leave the Checklist and choose Save to this Device to continue on the same device, or turn on Save progress in the cloud and tap Save in the Cloud to continue on any device. Submit before the slot ends.
Can I complete a checklist offline?
Yes, if its content is on your device. Open the Checklist's menu and tap Make checklist available offline while you still have a connection. Your answers upload automatically when you're back online.
Can I see my checklists grouped by folder?
Yes. In the Checklists list, open the filter and choose Group By › Folder.
