Overview
A Super User has every permission in a Mobaro organization, whatever their Roles. Super Users are usually the people who set up and look after Mobaro for their park: they manage Users, Roles, User Groups and configuration, and are the first point of contact for colleagues' questions.
Super User status applies per organization. A Super User has every permission in each organization they're a Super User of, and no extra access in any other organization. Only Mobaro can make someone a Super User or remove Super User status. There's no option for it in the Backend. To request one, see Activating a new Super User.

💡 Why this matters: Super User access is all-or-nothing within an organization. Knowing what only a Super User can do helps you decide who really needs it, and who is better served by a Role.
What a Super User can do
A Super User holds every Role permission in the organization — View, Create, Modify, Delete and Administrate in every area — without needing a Role. Some actions are reserved for Super Users:
Change a User's Roles, User Groups and Locations under Direct Memberships in the User editor, and the Locations they can operate in RideOps (Operator). For everyone else these fields are read-only.
Set an External ID on Users, User Groups and Locations, and lock a User's profile with Only allow administrator to make changes.
Add Locations and Location Groups to User Groups.
Create, edit and delete RideOps Keys (see Creating and managing RideOps key).
Use Impersonate User to see Mobaro as another User sees it. Every impersonation is logged.
Validate Results and handle Missing Results on Schedules that have no reviewers.
What Super User access doesn't cover
Other organizations. If your company has several Mobaro organizations, you're a Super User only in those where Mobaro has granted it. Elsewhere, your Roles apply.
Users who belong to other organizations. To edit such a User, you need permission to modify Users (Users › Modify) in every organization they belong to. See How to deactivate a User.
Other Super Users. You can't edit, disable, delete or impersonate a Super User; Mobaro does this. See Deactivating a Super User.
Granting Super User. Only Mobaro can make someone a Super User or remove Super User status. There's no option for it in the Backend.
The Mobaro app. Super User status doesn't add Checklists to your app. You see scheduled Checklists where you or one of your User Groups is an assignee, at Locations you're a member of.
Mobaro-only tasks. Bulk-importing Users, adding existing Users from another organization, configuring single sign-on identity providers and recovering deleted Users are done by Mobaro.
Super User or a Role?
Most people who manage part of Mobaro — Checklists, Schedules, Dashboards, Assignments — need a Role, not Super User access. A Role can include as many permissions as you like and can be given to a whole User Group. Reserve Super User for the few people who administer the whole organization. See Set up Roles to manage permissions.
Best practices
Keep at least two Super Users per organization, so someone can cover leave and urgent changes.
Give Super User access only to people who administer the whole organization; use Roles for everyone else.
Review Roles and permissions regularly, so people only have the access they need.
Use consistent naming for Roles, User Groups, Locations and Schedules.
Stay up to date with Mobaro releases and share changes with your teams.
Frequently asked questions
Does super user access cover all our organizations?
No. Super User status applies per organization. A Super User has every permission in each organization they're a Super User of, and no extra access in any other organization. To get it in another organization, ask Mobaro; see Activating a new Super User.
How do I make someone a super user?
You can't do it in the Backend. Only Mobaro can make someone a Super User or remove Super User status. Send a request to Mobaro Support as described in Activating a new Super User.
How do I impersonate a user, and why can't I impersonate some users?
In Users, select one User and click Impersonate User; only Super Users have this, and every impersonation is logged. You can't impersonate other Super Users, disabled Users, Mobaro staff or yourself.
Why can't I edit a user even though I'm a super user?
Usually because the User also belongs to another Mobaro organization where you don't have Users › Modify, or because they're a Super User themselves, which only Mobaro can change. See How to deactivate a User.
Can I give someone full access without making them a super user?
Yes, with a Role. A Role can include any permission, for example View in every area, and can be given to a User Group. A few actions, such as changing Users' Roles in the User editor or creating RideOps Keys, still need a Super User.
As a super user, why don't I see every checklist in the app?
Super User status doesn't add Checklists to the Mobaro app. The app shows scheduled Checklists where you or one of your User Groups is an assignee, at Locations you're a member of. Add yourself as an assignee or Location member to see them.
