Readiness widget overview

Read the Readiness widget: what the handled percentage and bar color mean, the details view, filters, and what counts as handled.

Written by Logan Bowlby

Overview

The Readiness widget shows, as a single bar, what share of the scheduled Checklists in its time range are handled. Click it for a breakdown by Location and Location Group, down to the individual Checklists. Use it to track how the day's — or the week's — scheduled work is going across the park.

For a card per Location with its ready-for-operation status, use the Location Overview widget instead. To add a widget to a dashboard, see How to set up Dashboard Templates.

Readiness widget showing the handled percentage on a bar

💡 Why this matters: One bar shows at a glance whether the scheduled work is on track, and the details show where it isn't, before gaps turn into missed Checklists.

Read the Readiness bar

The bar fills to the handled percentage, shown in the marker above it. Its color shades gradually from red at 0% through yellow at 60% to green at 100%. There are no fixed color bands.

The percentage is handled Checklists out of all scheduled Checklists in the time range. By default, a Checklist is handled when it's completed and not awaiting approval, or when it was missed and the missed Checklist has been approved. The total also counts Checklists that are available now, overdue or only available later, so the bar starts the day low and rises as work is done.

ℹ️ Note: The Readiness percentage isn't a Location's ready-for-operation status. That status shows in the title bar of the Location Overview widget and depends on critical Checklists and Assignments only.

See Readiness details

Click the widget to open Readiness Details. It lists Locations and Location Groups with each one's handled percentage and a count such as "3 of 4", in a cell colored on the same red–yellow–green scale. N/A (gray) means there are no scheduled Checklists in the time range. Click a Location Group to expand it.

Click a Location to see its Checklists on the tabs Completed Checklists, Missing Checklists, Available Checklists and Available Later; a tab only shows when it has Checklists. Click the open icon at the end of a row to see a Result. Use the Filter icon to hide Locations at 100% (Show 100% items) or with no Checklists (Show N/A items).

Filter the Readiness widget

Use the buttons at the top of the widget:

  • The time range — Today by default. Next to it, choose how a Checklist has to fall in the range: Overlaps, Starts, Ends or Starts and ends (both inside the range).

  • Checklist Categories, Checklists and Schedules — count only matching Checklists.

  • Locations — Locations or Location Groups.

Choose what counts as handled

The Configuration icon (cog) opens Readiness Configuration:

  • Mark approved items as handled (on by default): approved Results and approved missed Checklists count as handled. Turn it off to count them as awaiting approval and missing.

  • Mark results awaiting approval as handled (off by default): Results awaiting approval count as handled.

These settings only change this widget. To keep them, and your filters, save them in a Personal filter — see How to use the Dashboard.

Who sees what

Super Users see every scheduled Checklist. Other Users only see Checklists at Locations they're a member of, and — without Schedules › View — only from Schedules where they're an assignee, reviewer or owner. Two people looking at the same widget can therefore see different percentages.

Best practices

  • For a start-of-day check, filter to the Schedules that must be done before opening, so later and monthly work doesn't hold the bar down.

  • Open Readiness Details and turn off Show 100% items to see only the Locations still behind.

  • Decide whether pending approvals count as done for your team, and set Readiness Configuration to match.

  • Save your filters and configuration in a Personal filter and make it your default.

Frequently asked questions

Why does readiness never show 100% even when the building is ready?

Every scheduled Checklist in the time range counts, including ones available later today and monthly Checklists that overlap it. Filter the Schedules or Checklist Categories to leave them out, or choose Ends next to the time range to count only Checklists that end within it.

Other users see a different percentage, or no data, on the same dashboard. Why?

They only see Checklists at Locations they're a member of, and without Schedules › View only from Schedules where they're an assignee, reviewer or owner. Super Users see everything. Also compare the selected filter.

What does "0 of 1" or "N/A" mean in the details?

"0 of 1" means none of the one scheduled Checklist in the time range is handled yet. N/A means the Location has no scheduled Checklists in the time range.

How do I stop having to set the filters every time I open the dashboard?

Save them as a Personal filter and click the star to make it your default. See How to use the Dashboard.

What do the colors on the location tiles mean?

Those tiles are the Location Overview widget, where the title bar color shows readiness for operation. This widget's bar color only reflects the handled percentage.
