Overview
In the Mobaro mobile app, you finish an Assignment by adding a Solution: a description of what was done, photos of the work and, for an Assignment that uses an Assignment Definition, the Final state it ends in. Saving the Solution resolves the Assignment and removes it from your list of active Assignments.

💡 Why this matters: The Solution is what the next technician, your manager and an auditor read later. A clear description with an after photo turns a closed Assignment into a useful record.
Resolve an assignment
1. Open the assignment
On the app home screen, tap the Assignments tile and select the Assignment you're ready to close.
2. Add a solution
Scroll to the Solution section, which shows No solution has been added yet, and tap Add.
3. Describe the work
Resolve Assignment opens. If the Assignment uses a definition, choose the Final state in State. Enter a Description of what was done, and under Attachments add photos from the Camera or your Gallery. If materials were planned for the Assignment, check the amount Used for each.
4. Save the solution
Tap the check mark at the top of Resolve Assignment. If you left the description empty, the app asks You haven't entered a description: tap Resolve to continue or Cancel to go back. Then tap the check mark at the top of the Assignment to save it.
The Assignment is now Finished (or in the Final state you chose) and leaves your list of active Assignments. If you're offline, the change is queued on the device and sent when it reconnects.
🛑 Critical: Saving a Solution finishes the Assignment. Finishing an Assignment that is High priority, or at a Critical for operation priority, can turn its Location green (ready for operation) on the Location Overview, unless something else still holds it red. Only resolve it when the work is actually done.
When a description is required
A description is optional for standard Assignments. For an Assignment that uses a definition, it's required only when the Final state you pick has Require documentation ticked on the definition. The app then shows This state requires a description to be entered. and won't resolve until you add one. See Using Assignment Definitions.
Best practices
Say what was done. Write what you fixed and what you checked, not just "fixed".
Attach an after photo for safety-related work, so the fix can be seen without a site visit.
Log partial work as you go. If the job isn't finished, add a comment, or move a definition-based Assignment to a Step state, instead of resolving it.
Frequently asked questions
Does adding a solution complete the assignment?
Yes. Saving the Solution moves the Assignment to Finished, or the Final state you chose, and removes it from your active list. There's no separate Complete button in the app. For what each status means, see Understanding assignment statuses.
Why can't I resolve an assignment in the app?
If there's no Solution section, you can't change the Assignment, it's already Finished, or the definition's Who can resolve excludes you. If the check mark won't save, the Final state requires a description. See Changing an Assignment's status on mobile.
I resolved an assignment by mistake. How do I get it back?
Not in the app: Finished Assignments are read-only there. Someone who can change the Assignment reopens it in the Backend by setting its Status back to Created or Started. See Resolving, documenting, and reopening Assignments.
Can I edit the solution after the assignment is resolved?
No. The Solution can't be edited once the Assignment is resolved. Add a comment instead, or reopen the Assignment in the Backend and resolve it again; both stay in the activity feed. See Resolving, documenting, and reopening Assignments.
Can I add photos from my phone's gallery to the solution?
Yes. Under Attachments in Resolve Assignment, choose Gallery instead of Camera. Only photos can be attached to a Solution.
Can I resolve an assignment on a computer instead?
Yes. In the Backend, select the Assignment and click Resolve assignment, then document what was done. See Resolving, documenting, and reopening Assignments.
