Overview
Warehouses are where stock lives. Each material has its own quantity in each Warehouse, so Inventory shows not just how much you have, but where it is.
This article covers where to see stock levels, what changes them, and how to trace a change in the Stock History. To create Warehouses, see Setting up Inventory.

🚀 Early access: Inventory is an early-access feature. Mobaro turns it on for your organization. Until then, Inventory shows greyed out in the Backend menu.
💡 Why this matters: "Do we have it, and is it where we need it?" is the question Inventory answers. Per-Warehouse stock tells you whether a part is in the right place, or needs transferring before a job.
How stock is held
Stock is kept per material, per Warehouse. A material's Total Stock is the sum across its Warehouses.
Quantities can have up to 3 decimal places.
Stock can go below zero. Transfers and materials used on Assignments are never blocked by low stock.
Stock only changes through these actions, and each is recorded in the Stock History:
Add stock: the first quantity of a material in a Warehouse (below).
Adjust and Transfer: see Adjusting and transferring stock.
Consumption: materials used on a resolved Assignment. See Requisitions.
Removing a stock row: writes off what's left. See Setting up Inventory.
See stock on the Inventory page
The Inventory page lists materials with their SKU, Name, In Warehouse(s) and Total Stock. Select a category in the Categories tree to list the materials directly in it; with nothing selected, you see uncategorized materials. Search looks across the whole catalogue.
To see one Warehouse's stock, use the Warehouse filter. Total Stock then shows only the quantity in that Warehouse.
⚠️ Heads-up: The Inventory › Warehouses page only lists each Warehouse's Name and Target, and opening one lets you edit it. It doesn't show what the Warehouse holds: use the Warehouse filter on the Inventory page instead. There's no low-stock filter.
See a material's stock by Warehouse
Select a material and click Edit. Its Warehouses panel lists each Warehouse that holds it and the Quantity there. From this panel you can Create (add stock), Transfer, Adjust or Delete a Warehouse's stock row.
Add stock to a Warehouse
1. Open the material
On the Inventory page, select the material and click Edit.
2. Click Create in the Warehouses panel
In Add stock, choose the Warehouse and enter a Quantity above zero.
3. Click Add stock
Mobaro confirms Stock added to the warehouse, and the Stock History records it as an Adjustment. You can only add stock to a Warehouse that doesn't have the material yet; otherwise you see This material already has stock in the selected warehouse. Use Adjust instead.
Review the Stock History
The Stock History panel on a material's page lists every change: Date, User, Warehouse, Transaction Type (Adjustment, Transfer or Consumption), the Assignment for consumption, the Reason and the Quantity added or removed. Filter it by user, time range or Assignment.
If someone else changed the same stock while you were editing, Mobaro refuses your change. You see The stock changed while you were editing: it is now X, not Y. Check the new figure and adjust again. or The data changed while you were saving. Reload and try again.
Best practices
For a stock count, filter to the Warehouse you're counting and work through one category at a time.
When a count doesn't match, check the Stock History before you adjust. A transfer or a resolved Assignment often explains the gap.
Count regularly and correct with Adjust, since stock can drift below zero.
Frequently asked questions
How do I see everything in one Warehouse?
On the Inventory page, set the Warehouse filter. Total Stock then shows that Warehouse's quantities. The list still follows the selected category, so materials the Warehouse doesn't hold show no stock. The Warehouses page only lists names and targets.
Why is a stock level negative?
Mobaro doesn't block transfers or materials used on Assignments when stock is short, so a Warehouse can go below zero. Count the stock and correct it with Adjust. See Adjusting and transferring stock.
How do I change a stock level?
Not by typing over the number. Use Add stock for a Warehouse that doesn't hold the material yet, and Adjust or Transfer after that, so each change is recorded.
Can I do a stock count with a Checklist?
You can build a counting Checklist, but Checklists don't change stock. Record the counts with Adjust. See Inventory in Mobaro: overview.
