Overview
Inventory brings stock management into Mobaro. You keep a catalogue of materials, such as spare parts, consumables and supplies, track how much of each is held in each Warehouse, and let Assignments use materials through requisitions.
This article explains the building blocks and how they fit together, and points you to the article for each task.

🚀 Early access: Inventory is an early-access feature. Mobaro turns it on for your organization. Until then, Inventory shows greyed out in the Backend menu.
💡 Why this matters: Most parks already track stock somewhere, often in a spreadsheet. Keeping it in Mobaro puts stock next to the Assignments that use it, so the people doing the work can see and request parts without leaving the platform.
The building blocks
Concept | What it is |
Material | An item you stock, such as a part, consumable or supply. It has a Name, SKU, Description, Manufacturer, image and a category. |
Category | A group of materials. Categories form a tree on the Inventory page, and a category can have sub-categories. |
Warehouse | A place that holds stock. It can be targeted to a Location, or be storage only. |
Stock | The quantity of a material in one Warehouse. Every change is recorded in the material's Stock History. |
Requisition | The materials an Assignment needs, and the Warehouses they come from. The stock is used when the Assignment is resolved. |
ℹ️ Note: In the Backend, stock items are called materials, each identified by an SKU. Some older Inventory articles call them Products and Codes.
Who can use Inventory
Once Inventory is enabled, every user who can sign in to the Backend can create, edit and delete materials, categories and Warehouses, and add, adjust and transfer stock. There's no Role permission to limit this. Creating a requisition needs permission to modify that Assignment. Importing a spreadsheet of Inventory data is done by Mobaro. See Setting up Inventory.

How Inventory connects to the rest of Mobaro
Inventory connects to the rest of Mobaro in two places. A Warehouse can be targeted to a Location, so it's clear which part of your site it serves. Requisitions are added to Assignments that have a Location, and when the Assignment is resolved, the materials are taken from the chosen Warehouses and recorded as Consumption.
Materials and stock aren't linked to Assets, Checklists or RideOps.
⚠️ Heads-up: Mobaro doesn't stop stock going below zero: a transfer, or the materials used on a resolved Assignment, can take a Warehouse's quantity negative. Reopening a resolved Assignment doesn't put its materials back into stock. Count and adjust regularly so quantities stay accurate.
Best practices
Create only the Warehouses you really keep stock in, and target each to the Location it serves.
Use SKUs that match your suppliers' or your existing system's codes, so materials are easy to find and import.
Plan the materials on an Assignment before the work starts, and check what was actually used when you resolve it.
Count stock on a regular cycle and use Adjust to correct the quantities.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get Inventory (early access)?
Ask your Customer Success Manager or Mobaro Support to get Inventory Management for your organization. Until it's on, Inventory shows greyed out in the Backend menu. See Setting up Inventory.
Can Mobaro be used for inventory?
Yes, with Inventory (early access). It tracks how much of each material you hold in each Warehouse, records every adjustment and transfer, and lets Assignments use materials from your Warehouses through requisitions.
How do I place an order for supplies?
Mobaro doesn't send purchase orders to suppliers. To get materials from your own Warehouses for a job, add them to the Assignment as a requisition; the stock is used when the Assignment is resolved. See Requisitions: requesting and fulfilling stock.
Can I make an inventory checklist?
You can build a stock-count Checklist like any other, but Checklists don't change stock levels. Record the counted quantities in Inventory with Adjust. See Adjusting and transferring stock.
Can I track individual tools with Inventory?
Not individually. Inventory tracks quantities of a material per Warehouse, not single items or who has them. To track one tool with its own history, create it as an Asset. See Create an Asset.
