Overview
When a Checklist question has Library content attached, such as a manual, a video or a link, the Mobaro app records which Users opened each item while completing it. The Result then shows, per question, what was available and who opened it, in the Result Documentation dialog.
Use it as evidence that the person doing a safety check had the procedure open, and to see which version of a manual they used. To attach content to questions, see Creating and managing your Library.

💡 Why this matters: An auditor or insurer may ask not just whether a check was done, but whether it was done against the current procedure. Result Documentation shows which manual Section and Version was available at that Location and who actually opened it.
How opening is recorded
While a User completes a Checklist in the Mobile app, each question with attached content shows manual, video and link icons. When the User taps an icon and opens an item, the app records their name against that item and its Version, for the whole Checklist: if the same item is attached to several questions, opening it once marks it as opened on each of them. When the Result is submitted, Mobaro saves, for every visible element with attached content:
each manual, video and link that was available for that Location, with its Section and Version, and
the Users who opened it.
A few things to know:
Only opening from the Checklist counts. Browsing the Library from the app's home screen isn't recorded on a Result.
Mobaro records who opened the item, not when, for how long, which pages were read, or whether a video was watched to the end.
When a Checklist is resumed by someone else, earlier viewers are kept, so several names can appear.
Content on questions hidden by logic isn't recorded.
Checklists completed in RideOps don't record opened content, so their Results show no Result Documentation.
See it on a Result
1. Open the Result
Go to Results, tick the Result and click View.
2. Find the icons
At the bottom right of each question with attached content, a manual, video or link icon shows how many items of that kind were available.
3. Open Result Documentation
Click an icon. The Result Documentation dialog opens on the matching tab: Manuals, Videos or Links.

None in Viewed By means nobody opened that item. Each Version available at the Location gets its own row, because the app offers every Version with no Limit To (Location Groups) or one matching the Location. See Manual Sections and Versions — advanced Library content.
Where it isn't shown
PDF and emailed reports show the icons and counts, but not who opened what.
Report Templates with Hide manuals and videos per question ticked hide the icons. See Creating and using Report Templates.
Exports, dashboards and the Mobaro API don't include it. You check it one Result at a time.
If a Super User uses Change result user, the new User replaces the original one in Viewed By. See Changing the User Who Completed a Result.
Best practices
Link questions to the exact manual Section they refer to, so the record shows which pages were available.
Ask staff to open procedures from the question's icon, not from the Library, when you want it on the record.
Give each Version a clear name, such as its revision number, so the Version on a Result shows which procedure was available.
Spot-check Result Documentation on critical inspections as part of your audits.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose which version of a manual a question opens?
You can't pick it per question. The app offers every Version available for the Location, and the User chooses. Result Documentation then shows which Version they opened. See Manual Sections and Versions — advanced Library content.
Viewed By says None, but the operator says they read the manual. Why?
They probably opened it from the Library rather than a question's icon, opened a different Version, or completed the Checklist in RideOps. Only opening from a question in the Mobile app is recorded.
Can I make users open the manual before they answer?
No. Opening attached content is optional; Mobaro records it but doesn't require it. To have Users confirm they've read something, add a question such as a Select or Signature Question.
Can I see when, or for how long, someone viewed a manual or video?
No. Result Documentation only lists who opened each item. The Result itself records when the Checklist was completed.
