Overview
This is the quick how-to for changing notification settings in Mobaro: the Organization default that applies to everyone, your own personal settings, and another User's settings. For what each notification means and which arrive by email or push, see Organizational and personal notification settings.
These settings cover alerts about your own work — Assignments, images, Competencies and Results awaiting review. Report emails and availability pushes are set up separately, in Notification Rules.

Change the Organization default
1. Open Notification Settings
In the Mobaro Backend, go to Notification Rules and click the bell button, Notification Settings. The dialog says These are the default settings for the entire organization.
2. Choose the defaults and save
Tick the Email and Push boxes for each notification. Receive All ticks or clears a whole column. Click the save icon (Save).
⚠️ Heads-up: The Organization default doesn't reach Users who have turned on Personalize settings — they keep their own choices until they turn it off. There's no setting per User Group, and the Mobaro API can't change notification settings.
Change your own settings
In the Backend: open the menu under your name, choose Edit Profile and expand Notification Settings. Tick Personalize settings, choose your Email and Push notifications, and save.
In the Mobile app: go to Profile › Notification Settings, turn on Personalize settings, and choose your notifications.
To follow the Organization default again, turn Personalize settings off. Push notifications go to the Mobaro mobile app; the Backend doesn't send browser notifications, but its Notifications menu lists your notifications.
Send copies to other addresses
In the same Notification Settings section of Edit Profile, tick Configure additional emails and add addresses. They get a copy of your email notifications, such as Assignment emails, Note emails and Operations Report and Work Forecast Report emails.
Change another User's settings
If you can edit a User in Users, open the User and expand Notification Settings to change their settings or additional emails in the same way. You can't edit Super Users this way. If a profile has Only allow administrator to make changes ticked, only Super Users can change it, and the User can't change their own settings in the Backend.
Best practices
Keep the Organization default lean — only the alerts everyone genuinely needs — and let people personalize from there.
Before changing the default, remember it won't reach anyone who has personalized; tell those people to update their own settings.
Use additional emails for shared mailboxes, such as a maintenance inbox, instead of creating extra Users.
Frequently asked questions
How do I turn my notifications off?
Turn on Personalize settings in Profile › Notification Settings in the app, or under Edit Profile in the Backend, then untick the notifications you don't want. Your choices then override the Organization default.
Can I set notifications for a whole user group?
No. Settings exist only for the whole organization (the Organization default) and for each User. Change the default, or edit each User's settings in Users.
Can I change users' notification settings in bulk or through the API?
Not individually in bulk, and not through the API — it can set a User's additional emails, but not their notification settings. To change everyone who hasn't personalized, change the Organization default.
How do I enable notifications in the browser?
You can't — the Backend doesn't send browser notifications. Push notifications go to the Mobaro mobile app. In the Backend, the Notifications menu lists your notifications with an unread count.
Staff get a notification every time we resolve old tasks they created. Can we stop that?
Yes. Untick Assignment resolved for assignments created by me in the Organization default, or in each person's settings if they've personalized.
