Overview
The Result map shows the device's recorded GPS position for each answer in a Checklist Result. A black pin marks the Location's position. Use the map to compare the answer positions with the Location; the pins do not come from the Location setting itself.
Use the map to check that on-site inspections happened on site, and to follow the route an Assignee took through a Checklist.

Where positions come from
When a User answers or changes a question, the app stores the device's latest GPS position with the answer, together with its reported accuracy. RideOps does the same when the tablet's browser is allowed to share its location. Positions are stored with the answers, so Checklists completed offline still get pins once the Result uploads.
Only questions get pins — text and image elements don't. The black Location pin comes from the Location's Geographic Location settings (its address or coordinates, set in the Location editor). If the Location has no position set, there's no black pin. When the Location has a Radius (meters), the map can also show that area as a grey circle around the black pin.
🛑 Critical: The Mobaro app needs location access with precise location. With location off, answers have no position; with approximate location, pins can land hundreds of metres away. Help Users turn on precise location — see Apple's guide for iOS and iPadOS devices and Google's guide for Android devices.
Open the Result map

In the Backend, go to Results.
2. View a Result
Tick a Result and click View.
3. Show the map
In the report's top bar, click the map button (tooltip Show Map). Its badge shows how many answers have a position. The button only appears when at least one answer has one. Click it again (Show Report) to go back to the report.
Read the pins
Each pin is one answered question. Its color shows the score; its symbol shows whether it's a single answer, a group or your selection. Lines with arrows join the pins in the order their positions were recorded.

Click a pin to show its question and answer in the side panel, as they appear in the report. Click an empty part of the map to close the panel.
The map shows the questions that are visible in the report. If you choose a Report Template that hides questions — for example full-score ones — their pins are left off too.
GPS accuracy radius
Hover over a pin to show a colored circle around it. The circle's size is the accuracy the device reported when the answer was given: the real position was probably somewhere inside it.

Accuracy depends on the device, buildings, weather and signal. A low-accuracy pin isn't necessarily wrong, but it's worth a closer look.
Answers without a position
In map view, the Answers without GPS position button shows how many questions in the report have no position. Click it to list them in the side panel. Answers have no position when location access was off, or when the device had no GPS fix yet.
The GPS compliance check
The map is for review only. To have Mobaro check positions, tick Require correct GPS location on the Schedule and give the Location a position and a Radius (meters) under Geographic Location. When the User finishes the Checklist in the Mobile app, an answer is flagged if its distance from the Location's position is more than the radius plus the answer's reported accuracy. RideOps doesn't run this check.
The User can add an optional explanation. Flagged questions show "The question was answered too far from the location." in the report, the Result is marked as requiring validation, and the count appears under Deviations on the Compliance page. The check never stops anyone from completing the Checklist. See Schedule compliance settings.
⚠️ Heads-up: Because the check allows for the reported accuracy, a low-accuracy answer is less likely to be flagged, and an answer with no position is never flagged. Check red accuracy circles and Answers without GPS position on the map when you validate a Result, even if no GPS deviation was recorded.
Best practices
Set up precise location for the Mobaro app when a User first signs in on a device.
Set a position for each Location you check on site, so the black pin gives you a reference point.
Choose a Location radius that covers the whole area where the check is done, such as the ride's station and queue, rather than a single point.
When validating on-site checks, open the map and look at low-accuracy pins and pins far from the black pin.
Frequently asked questions
How can I see where a check was done?
Go to Results, tick the Result and click View, then click the map button (Show Map) in the report's top bar. Each pin shows where a question was answered.
GPS is turned on, but I don't see a map button or any pins. Why?
The button only appears when at least one answer has a position. Check that the Mobaro app is allowed to use location with precise location on the device. Answers given while location access was off can't get a position afterwards.
Can I make GPS location mandatory for a checklist?
Not as a block. Tick Require correct GPS location on the Schedule and set a position and Radius (meters) on the Location. Answers given too far away are flagged and the Result needs validation. See Schedule compliance settings.
Why are some pins far from the location?
Either the User wasn't at the Location, or the device reported a poor position. Hover over the pin: a red circle means low accuracy. Also check that the Location's own position (the black pin) is set correctly.
Can I see a map for checklists completed offline?
Yes. The position is stored with each answer on the device and uploaded with the Result, as long as the device had a GPS position when the answer was given.
