How readiness is calculated

Readiness, Readiness as Text, Readiness Gauge, Readiness by Locations and Groups and the Compliance Meter use one calculation: handled Checklists divided by all scheduled Checklists in the time range.

  • The total is every scheduled Checklist in the time range: one per Calendar slot or Ad Hoc Slot and Location (or Asset) — completed, awaiting approval, missed, overdue, available now or available later. Checklists completed outside a slot aren't counted, and Continuous Schedules have no slots.

  • By default a scheduled Checklist is handled when its Result is completed and either doesn't need approval or has been approved, or when it was missed and the missed Checklist has been approved or rescheduled. Results awaiting approval, and disapproved Results, aren't handled.

The Compliance Meter shows the same total split by state:

Compliance Meter bar split into handled, awaiting approval, missing, overdue, available now and available later segments
  • Dark green: handled

  • Yellow: awaiting approval

  • Red: missing

  • Orange: overdue (still in its grace period)

  • Gray: available now

  • Light gray: available later

Each of these widgets has a Configuration cog with Mark approved items as handled (on by default) and Mark results awaiting approval as handled (off). They change only that widget.

ℹ️ Note: The readiness percentage isn't a Location's ready-for-operation status. That status (red or green) comes from the Header Color settings and critical Checklists — see Configuring readiness colors on the Location Overview.

The time range and Overlaps

The widgets in the Readiness category, including Location Overview and Location Map Overview, and the Compliance Meter have a time range (Today by default) and, next to it, a choice of how a Checklist's slot must fall in it. A slot runs from when the Checklist becomes available until its deadline, or the end of its grace period.

  • Overlaps (default): any slot that is open at some point in the range, even if it started before or ends after.

  • Starts: slots that start in the range.

  • Ends: slots that end in the range.

  • Starts and ends: only slots that start and end in the range.

Other widgets count differently: Completed Checklists and Completed Checklists by Location use when each Result was completed, Missed Checklists uses when the slot ended, and Overdue Checklists has no time range.

Who sees what

Super Users see every scheduled Checklist. Other Users see Checklists at Locations they're a member of and — without Schedules › View — only from Schedules where they're an assignee, reviewer or owner. This applies to the readiness widgets and the Compliance Meter; Completed Checklists and Missed Checklists also count only Results the viewer is allowed to see. Two people can see different numbers on the same dashboard. See How access works in Mobaro.

Best practices

  • Start a template with Location Overview or Readiness, then add the Compliance Meter to show what the gaps are.

  • For a start-of-day view, filter readiness widgets to the Schedules due before opening.

  • Use Ends for past periods, so long Schedules that overlap the range don't skew the numbers.

  • Save filters as a Personal filter and make it your default — see How to use the Dashboard.

Frequently asked questions

What does "Overlaps" mean in the time filter?

It includes every scheduled Checklist whose slot is open at any point in the time range, even if it started before or ends after. Choose Starts, Ends or Starts and ends to count only slots that start, end, or both, within it.

Why does readiness never show 100% when the building is ready?

Every scheduled Checklist in the time range counts, including ones available later and monthly Checklists that overlap it. Filter the Schedules or Checklist Categories, or choose Ends. See Readiness widget overview.

Other users see different numbers, or no data, on the same dashboard. Why?

Widgets only count Checklists at Locations each person is a member of, and without Schedules › View only their own Schedules. Super Users see everything. To give everyone the same view, use an Organization filter on the Dashboard Template.

Which widget shows missed checklists?

Missed Checklists, in the Count category. The Compliance Meter shows them as its red segment, and the Location Overview in each card's Checklists bar.

Why don't the compliance meter and completed checklists match?

The Compliance Meter counts scheduled slots by when they run; Completed Checklists counts every completed Result by when it was answered, including unscheduled ones. See Compliance Meter.
