Overview
App Settings controls application-wide preferences. Project Settings controls an individual Import Project. Update actions depend on whether your installed build supports the updater.

Adjust app preferences
1. Open App Settings
Choose the toolbar icon with the tooltip App Settings. Review Appearance and Projects.
Setting | Choices or behavior | Default |
Theme | System, Light or Dark. | System |
Data grid font size | Small (8), Medium (10) or Large (12). | Medium |
Default project path | Folder used when creating new Import Projects. Use Browse. | Empty unless configured. |
Allow usage and performance analytics (opt-out) | Controls configured analytics. Includes username and domain when available. | On |
Settings storage | Shows where preferences are stored; chosen automatically. | Writable app location or per-user storage. |
2. Review privacy and save
Under Privacy, set Allow usage and performance analytics (opt-out) as required and read the telemetry status. Choose Save to apply preferences, or Cancel to close without applying those edits.
For row spacing in the current Import Project, use Project Settings › DataGrid density. Choices are Wide, Normal, Tight and Tight like a Tiger; the default is Normal. This is separate from the app-wide font size.
Check and install updates
3. Check the installed build
Under App Settings › Updates, read Version, Channel and the status. Choose Check for updates when available. What’s new opens the available release notes.
4. Download and install an available update
When offered, choose Download update. Save your Import Project and let current work finish, then choose Restart and install. The app prevents installation while an import is running, while busy, or with unsaved project changes.
ℹ️ Note: Manual standalone downloads do not automatically gain update support. If update controls are unavailable, ask your CSM for the approved current package for your platform. The presence of the Updates panel does not prove that a feed is configured or reachable.
Best practices
Record Version and Channel when reporting a problem.
Save the Import Project before restarting or replacing an installation.
Frequently asked questions
Why does analytics say it is not configured?
The build has no Application Insights connection string. Turning the analytics preference on does not configure a missing telemetry service.
Does turning analytics off stop local diagnostic logs?
No. The analytics preference controls the telemetry service. Local diagnostic logging and the session’s Mobaro API Log are separate.
Why is Restart and install blocked?
Finish the current operation and save unsaved Import Project changes. A supported installation and a downloaded update are also required.
